Speaker 1

It's the Internet.

You're busy.

Speaker 2

Let's do this.

Speaker 1

Welcome to the Gamesticides podcast.

Speaker 2

This is the podcast where we decide everything about the world of games, so you never have to think for yourself.

Speaker 1

I'm your host Jeff Grubb and with me is Mike Manati.

Speaker 2

In today's episode, valves new hardware is looking pretty cool, Japan is getting a cheaper PS five, and wait, what the fuck?

Benny Saftie's in the Mario movie.

Now, all that and plenty more, But first of Mike, how are you doing?

Oh?

Okay, yeah, yeah, listen, you know you're dealing with a little bit of us being a little sipo.

You've been a trooper coming in for these episodes.

Uh, I'm you're a hero.

It's what I was getting at.

Let me move that there and then faith there.

Speaker 1

Okay, there we go.

Speaker 2

But yeah, listen, get your ship together.

We got to go shave the children.

Speaker 3

Say look, I got a shot in my ass today.

Okay, that's how much shit I'm getting together right now.

Speaker 2

So don't worry.

You're on you're on the butt.

Juice.

I'm I've been juiced in my butt.

Well if that can't save you, nothing will.

So uh all right.

Speaker 1

I'm glad you're doing You're pulling out all the stops, Mike.

Speaker 2

I am like really starting to feel the pressure of like, oh, I got to just pick a game and really play it because I don't have a lot of time period right now because we're so busy doing a million other things.

And I'm like, I know I'm gonna blink and it's gonna be early December.

We're like really doing our Game of the year stuff.

Speaker 3

So then so that's what you're going to be playing come December, right for us?

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 3

I mean the other day I just was like I've already kind of allowed myself to let go of a little bit, Jeff, Like, the.

Speaker 2

Other day, you're pretty well set.

Speaker 3

I was like, you know what I want to play actually is Metric Prime too.

I'm actually gonna do that.

Speaker 2

So that's what I doing.

Speaker 3

It fantastic.

Yeah, I do think I'm gonna need to play Dispatch.

I think I'm gonna have to give Dispatch a try.

There's a lot of buzz around that.

Yeah, I will see to be liking it, so I feel like I should have an opinion on that one.

Otherwise, like even like even like FOM Basic Tactics again, I wanted to get to that.

It's a remaster slash remake.

It's not like it was gonna be probably my top five necessari at least, I don't feel that bad about catching up to that one further down the line.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that's fairy.

I did get Expedition thirty three back and loaded on the steam deck like ready to go.

So that is like when I turn the steam deck on, that's now what's playing.

And I find that that will help me get through that.

So gonna try to actually finish that game before it all comes to this because I know and watch you do it tomorrow night.

Yeah, okay, that's a good idea.

I'll try to get mix some progress so I can like be right there and you can witness it in sort of a skull sleep until you do right, just get the whips out and stuff.

God, Py Perry, I have not packed yet.

So here's what we're gonna do the episode.

Let's get this done so we can get back to this so we could be ready for this weekend and everyone again just should should turn it to tune in for that Saturday like midday nonish, one pm Eastern, two pm Eastern around then we'll let you know exactly when we're gonna start.

It's gonna be a little bit loosey goosey, but we're gonna be raising money for Extra Life, So yeah, tune in for that.

Plans to torture me.

Damn, Dan's gonna do a couple of crimes, uh, you know, international crimes against Mike.

I'm really looking forward to that, looking forward to see He keeps talking about the new and improved Nubeshole that he thinks is stream friendly in terms of keeping us involved in stuff.

Uh yeah, it's gonna be while Kayla is there now helping them, So it's only going to be more torturous, I think, because those two together seems pretty scary.

It's a lot.

Speaker 3

Just threaten a sneeze on him if he gets two out of control.

All right, let's get into it.

Mike Valve has new hardware.

There's the controller, there's the Compact Gaming PC, there's the v Already headset.

What do you think.

Speaker 3

Wow, that's a lot of things done.

Three things they did three things that is.

Speaker 2

Three whole things.

Speaker 3

I mean, there's a lot to think out, much to consider, Jeff, much to consider.

I am overall happy to see Valve making more hardware.

I think it's a good thing, even though like like personally, like I find the new Steam machine, I think that's interesting.

I think this is a much better implementation than that last round when Steaming she was more of a brand for third parties.

Fact that there's just this one box, you know, me, I like that it looks like a GameCube a lot.

I think that's really interesting as somebody who's like not gaming on his TV much in general and really is just playing on my computer.

I don't necessarily know why I would need one of these personally, but that's just kind of again my situation a pardon me, kind of once won anyways, because it sounds neat, it's a sickness same.

But yeah, and everyone has questions about the prices thing, so you know, just kind of like trying to tune in.

I hear a lot of people excited about it, and I see a lot of people skeptical that the thing's not going to be quite powerful enough and it needs to be priced appropriately, and.

Speaker 2

The other people will say, well, you know, don't forget.

Speaker 3

There's gonna be so much optimization for this thing, just like we saw with the Steam Deck.

Speaker 2

So you know, you kind of have to you have to have some.

Speaker 3

Faith in Vouve because they've done so well by the Steam Deck.

But this is also the company that you know, the other Steam machines, which I didn't really love.

Speaker 2

You know, one of those things is more recent than the other.

Yeah, and you know those last Team machines were done with third party partners, right, it wasn't quite the same thing.

This is all Valve making all the hardware, with all the stuff they've learned, and really kind of working with their partners to do a custom GPU and stuff like that.

There's a lot of efforts going in here.

It's pretty cool.

I mean, break it down real fast.

There's a couple of models.

There's just the only difference is storage five hundred and twelve gigabytes versus two terabytes.

The CPU is going to be a semi custom AMD Zen four with six cores and twelve terabytes.

The GPU is also semi custom.

It's our DNA three with twenty eight compute units.

Basically, people are saying it's about equivalent to a forty sixty or seventy six hundred from AMD.

There.

Look, it's going to be six times more powerful than the Steam dech is the number they've given us.

That's pretty good, especially when you pair it up with the FSR four tech that is AMD's equivalent to DLSS, and that's been improving a lot.

It's going to improve even more because Sony and AMD are now working together on FSR to improve that, so there will be even more visual upgrade improvements as this thing ages.

The one thing that's worth sticking.

We're pointing out eight is sixteen gigabytes of RAM total, but eight gigabytes of that is dedicated v RAM.

Speaker 1

I believe, yeah, doubt or maybe no.

I'm sorry.

Speaker 2

That's eight gigabytes of RAM on the GPU, and then there's a separate sixteen gigabytes of RAM for the system that's upgradeable.

That eight gigabytes of VRAM though, that's the thing I really wanted to talk about.

People are hung up on that because we have basically decided collectively as PC gamers in the community, eight gigabytes ain't gonna cut it anymore.

New GPUs come out with eight gigabytes and there are even if they're super powerful and it's super fast memory, there are a handful of games and more each year that really struggle.

Speaker 1

With only that amount of memory to work with.

Speaker 2

So we'll see how they're able to work with that.

But you know, that's again more than what they're working with on the Steam Deck for the most part, So I think that, you know, and that's shared memory over there.

Either way, power is going to be a question.

Price is going to be a question.

I'm with you that I'm curious about.

It probably will get one no matter what, and then it might be my replacement for like the TVPC I have right now that is my media device.

I have like plex on there.

It can operate as a desktop, it can do all these other things.

I will probably turn it into like an emulation box something like that, have all my emulator emulation stuff on there, and then if I can play it and make it a game tube, yeah yeah, exactly, make it look literally like a GameCube.

Speaker 1

So I'm excited about it.

It seems pretty cool.

Speaker 2

There's also the Steam Controller, which this looks like the right sort of lessons learned from that first Steam controller.

That's the one you never were very happy with right, if I remember correctly, Yeah, I hated that thing.

Speaker 3

And also I thought I was being gasoliped by all the people who said they liked it.

I couldn't like it, but I'm just you know, yeah, exactly, that's what everyone says, and I feel like a crazy person.

Speaker 2

I'm just think there's an have analog.

Speaker 3

Sticks, and people like, oh, these little square pads are just as good, and then I would use them and I'd be like, no, they're not.

Speaker 2

They're not.

Yeah uh and people were yeah, people didn't.

I don't remember people saying too frequently like the pads were just as good as analytics, but they were so I think what people were saying often that that people liked was the gyroscope in there, Like I like to use this for gyroscope aiming in a bunch of different games.

And I was like, oh, okay, if like that's your whole bag, if that's how you're playing all these different games, I can see it, But I do need the analog sticks.

Well, this one has the analog sticks, has all the buttons that you would expect on a controller, still has the track pads.

Jan and Dan used it and said that it was surprisingly comfortable.

It felt really good to use, even though it's a it's kind of a tall controller.

You know, it's got a thirty five hours of battery life.

There's a little pucket comes with that is the dongle that actually connects.

It connects the controller wirelessly, but you can also then dock the controller onto that puck it'll start charging.

It just seems well thought out, and then of course it works really well with the Steam Machine proper.

I don't know if I'm like in the market for like, oh, well I need a new controller, I'll get the steam Deck controller.

I'll probably get one of these to have them, but I don't expect I'll be using it too frequently because if I'm going to be playing a game that requires like touch pads with a controller, it's probably because I'm using on my Steam Deck and this is basically just a Steam.

Speaker 1

Deck without the screen that controller.

Speaker 2

Right.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm actually I didn't liked that last Steam controller, as I just angrily told you.

I think this one looks pretty neat actually, like, yeah, it's tall, but that's part of this because it's sort of filling in will normally be kind of the gapy part here, which is fine.

That's not necessarily going to make it less comfortable.

I imagine.

I you know, I'm somebody who's fine with the analog sticks and either the Xbox or places to configuration both work for me.

I know, I was like dissing on the track pads.

I like having them in addition to analogs.

Yes, I just never liked them as a replacement for it, So you know, it's part of me.

It's like, oh, like, what is it going to be like if I try to play an OH one one seven on it?

Speaker 1

I promise you to work great.

Speaker 2

That's the thing.

I like playing Civilization seven on you know that that's been optimized for controller, but I would still use the track pads and it was fantastic.

Speaker 1

It works really well.

Speaker 2

But you know, I use those track pads for a million other things that create quick men use in emulation stuff.

So yeah, I'm really glad to still have those, especially because there's going to be the occasional time where I want to go to the desktop mode and I could use those track pads to do the majority of the things I would want to do.

Speaker 4

Uh.

Speaker 2

Then there's the Steam Frame.

This is their standalone VR headset that can play VR games on its own.

It has its own processor, which is a mobile arm snap Dragon GIN eight process or something that's in a lot of like handheld devices, some phones.

Uh, that's really interesting because it's also running stemos.

Then it also has the really good streaming like it comes with a dedicated dongle, so you can stream VR games from your computer directly to this thing without having to take up the bandwidth on your Wi Fi router or anything like that.

So it should work really good with something like a Steam machine or any number of other PCs.

You know, I'm I'm not super into VR gaming these days.

I use the VR headset for like actually playing two D games, so this will be good for that, and I use it for like watching movies.

This thing just looks so light and comfortable though that I am curious about it.

But really the big thing is they got Steam games running on basically an Android processor, an ARM processor, and that there's a lot of implications there, Like my ayn thor that's going to show up, it was suppsed to show up today, I don't when it's going to get here.

Now that's that can now potentially run Steam os, and there's a lot of possibilities there, So yeah, I'm excited about this.

How about you for the Steam Frame.

Yeah, I know that.

Speaker 3

I'm not really been super into VR and complain about how it can make me sick, but I do still think it's a really cool technology.

Sometimes I want to use it more, but you know, I've never enjoyed the hassle of setting it up, like I'm dedicating a whole room to it and putting cameras around it and plugging it seven ways into my computer, and I know, you know, Acless has had solutions for these.

I've never been that excited about the Oculus brand though, so it's part of me was like, yeah, maybe with Valve does one like this, I will be more interested in want to dig in there.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's It's definitely the kind of thing where it's like, oh, we're at a point where it's very obvious that VR is something separate happening over there.

It's not taking it's not distracting any developers from making the games that I've traditionally liked.

So it's kind of just a cool, neat technology that I'm glad Valve is still seems very interested in.

Yeah, Steam Oless being installed on phones here very soon is real possibility, to the point where it's like they could even use that tech, put it into the Steam app on phones that you already have, and suddenly maybe you're running your you're running Hades two on your phone natively through Steam and the Steam storre is just all there ready to go.

That seems to be a real possibility.

And you know, other people, other groups have tried to get PC Steam games running on phones, and that's there's been efforts made there.

It can work to a certain degree, but valve controlling the entire stack for the most part, at least you know now that's working with its own hardware.

Apparently then they've been able to make huge strides in performance.

It's like, okay, now can they open that up or maybe open it up to the community to figure out, now, can we get steam os running on everybody's device.

Speaker 1

That'll be interesting to see and I wonder what that leads to.

Speaker 2

Either way.

They didn't have anything to say about the Steam deck too, other than they're gonna make one and they have a good idea of what it's going to be, but it's still a little bit of a ways off because they want to see a big step a significant step up in power.

They said they didn't even want like a fifty percent increase in power at the same battery life.

Speaker 1

They want to see a big improvement to both and certainly to power.

Speaker 2

But seeing all this, it's very clear that they are deeply entrenched now in hardware.

Valve is fully a hardware company now, So I would expect the steam Deck two to be like their biggest launch ever after doing this, right.

Speaker 3

Yeah, and that'll still be kind of the big product, you know, the steam she looks nice, I bet doesn't do as well as a Steam Deck, maybe even the same with the new VR headset.

We're so glad that they are going into these fields and it makes sense the way for the steam Deck two.

Speaker 2

Have that look very impressive.

Speaker 3

I have it look significantly better than a switch to and likely probably whatever Asis is even able to do at that point, right.

Speaker 2

Yeah, And really like they can work with AMD on this current generation of Steam machines and kind of figure out what fsf FSR four can do and that can really inform what's going to be capable or what's going to be possible with their next generation Steam Deck too.

And with that stuff, it's like, oh, yeah, this that could easily outpace the switch to at that point if they have all those technologies working together before we move on.

I don't think you guessed the price.

Give me a guest for the price for the Steam machine specifically.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm bad at it.

It's hard for me oursel.

I mean what people are saying, it's like eight hundred dollars, Is that crazy?

I don't know.

Speaker 2

It's certainly not crazy.

It's it's more likely that than like five hundred dollars.

I think I'm going between six and six hundred and seven hundred for the five hundred and twelve gigabyte model, But that is I think optimistic based on the increased price of RAM.

Right now, RAM is going up in the price a lot, and it's going to go up even more next year or so we'll see.

And they also aren't going to have the exact same case of the Steam Deck, where it's like we can subsidize the steam Deck because we know someone buying the Steam Deck is buying that thing to play games, and because this thing, the Steam is is a just straight up a PC.

It is a personal computer.

It has all the features of a personal computer.

There if you are looking for a computer and you want something simple that will just work.

There's kind of no reason not to get this thing, at least that we're aware of right now.

So they could end up selling quite a few of these things to small businesses or college students, things like that, people who might not necessarily be buying games.

So I think they will price this thing more as a PC than as console.

They set as much.

So, Yeah, six hundred eight hundred is the range, and I'm hoping it starts somewhere between six hundred and seven hundred.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I mean, and I see some people like guessing like over a thousand, and look, I know that's not outside their own possibility, but boy, I think I would be completely disinterested at those prices.

Speaker 1

Yep, me too.

Speaker 2

Steam frame, they're saying, is going to be a little bit less or at least at least or same or less than the Steam Index, which was their last VR headset, that the one that they've been selling for years, that was let's just say, nine hundred dollars.

Speaker 1

I think there was a bunch of different variable models.

Speaker 2

There was one you can get like without the hand, without the controllers, and that was like or the base stations.

Maybe it was and that was like seven hundred dollars, but the real model was nine hundred, so I think it'll be below there somewhere.

That'll be weird because the mediquest is like five hundred these days, so that might be hard to you know, I don't know.

We'll see how they can position out.

Speaker 3

Let's see what the pitch is there.

Speaker 2

All right, let's see here there was that State of Play Japan presentation.

I don't know, it wasn't two enthralling, but there now is a cheaper Japanese only, Japanese language PlayStation five that's basically like three hundred and fifty dollars, very similar to what the switch To did, what Nintendo did with the switch to out of the Gate where they had a cheaper switch To model for Japan only.

Now the games are not region locked.

The system is sort of backwards region locked, but this will enable them to sort of begin winning over the Japanese audience again, which I was.

I read a threat.

I shared it on Blue Sky last night, I think, or maybe it was this morning, where basically a person who's very entrenched in Japanese gaming kind of explained it as Sony's regretting giving up on Japan in some ways or loosening their focus on Japan, and now they're going to try to get it back, especially after they kind of tested the water with Astrobot, and apparently Astrobot really took off with kids in Japan, and that's the first time Sony has seen any pickup with young people in Japan.

Speaker 3

Because it's crazy.

If you make a game that kids will like, then kids will like it.

Speaker 1

Yes.

Now, now is that going to change their fate?

Speaker 2

Because some of the statistics the people are sharing included the fact that on a recent poll, the three DS is played more often by gen Z and younger in Japan than the PlayStation five.

Still to this day, well, apparently it's been like that.

It's entire it's entire lifespan.

Back in twenty twenty three, the Yes was played more than the PlayStation five by gen Z, So young people just don't care about PlayStation in Japan.

Now Astrobot change that a little bit, But it's like there's a big uphill battle to climb here.

With all of that in mind, clearly that their effort here, or their purpose here is to begin winning back that audience.

And the reason for that, apparently is if you get that audience, they're very loyal and they'll spend a ton of money on merchandise and other tie in products and films and television shows and all this other stuff, so they see it as worth it, and that we've seen that work for Splatoon and Pickmen and all this other stuff.

Speaker 1

Nintendo's really good at that.

Speaker 2

With all of that in mind, now, when you think back to watching that state of play, do you think they did a good job making overtures and making a pitch to win those people over?

Speaker 3

I mean a little bit.

What they really need is more big, high profile first party Sony games like that.

And it's difficult because they don't have Japan studios anymore.

It's a lot of those franchises that data upilled that audience of linguished to a point where do you see big returns if you bring them back?

Speaker 2

Now?

Speaker 3

Do you just try to do even more new or newish stuff like Astro?

Speaker 2

But instead?

I don't know.

It's a difficult, difficult ass It's why.

Speaker 3

I never want to get out of that game, because it's very hard to just jump back into it.

Speaker 2

You know.

I could see, like some of these games, how they like selected them Katamari Dimashi and pac Man World two repact with Sonic the Hedgehog DLC.

It's like, yeah, you're trying to be like, yeah, we got we have some stuff from our partners that will appeal to younger people and maybe some LAPS gamers as well.

Someone to Chat said it, I agree.

It's all going to come down to that rumored supposed alleged handheld that they're working on for PS six.

Like the rumor is the I have a PS six, they might have a PS six alight, and they might have a PS six handheld, And if that thing is super slick and sleek, which I expected to be, there's a chance that they could, in a like one gasp, get a lot of people back in Japan because I think I think the Japanese audience is still like slick technology that can play cute games.

So if they can get stuff ready for them, if they're if they begin planting those seeds now, it could pay off.

Now, there's a lot of things, have things have to go right to get to that point.

But with if you just kind of look at this one in a vacuum, I think you're right.

You need those first party games more astrobots to kind of make a difference there, and then you're right, stuff that would have came out of Japan Studio, and I think they're a long way in this moment away from that.

Speaker 3

But what about instead of that, you make a Horizon MMO and a Ratchet and Clank mobile shooter.

Speaker 2

Yes, so those those got announced.

Did you have you had a chance to look at the Horizon stuff?

Which did you?

You know what system?

That game's not going to be on PlayStation five?

I don't know.

Yeah, it's not going to be on PlayStation five.

It's on PC and mobile.

That Yeah, that's stupid.

It's stump it in weird.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I don't know what the hell this thing is.

That's really freaking bizarre.

Uh and Seasoft what yeah?

Speaker 4

What?

Speaker 3

I don't know.

Yeah, but I can't even comprehend it.

I can't incomprehend the reasoning behind that.

The Ratchet and Clank thing, I almost kind of get they yea, there's an initiative.

It's probably not actually taking time away from like Insomniac, they're using this ip that is much more active than you know, some of their other ones.

Still, like there was a Ratchet and Clank game for PS five.

I don't like looking at this thing.

Gosh, I have no there's no way that.

There's just no way this takes off.

There's no way this is anything I'm looking at it.

Speaker 2

There's just no way.

Speaker 3

It feels perhaps slightly more ambitious than Crash Team Rumble, if that's right, and then not much more than that.

Speaker 2

I agree the when, but going back to the Horizon, like, did you see the character faces?

Like, It's like everything looks like Horizon except for the faces, and then the faces look like your moisturizer games, like you know, for lack of a better term, and it's just like, oh, that's really weird.

Something about that is real weird.

Speaker 4

It looks very Master Hunter like.

Speaker 2

Yes, then the gameplay looks very Monster Hunter like, and you know, I am not a Monster Hunter expert, but I like, I cooked over to it during Game of Mornings this morning, so it's like I didn't really pay attention to the gameplay and I watched her for five seconds.

I'm like, some of these animations look like and I don't know, but some of they look like exactly ripped.

Not that that's a complaint against it, but yeah, what do you think Christian.

Speaker 4

The boat charging looks incredible like the boat charging in Monster Hunter.

And then they have to do all like blade stuff that also looks a lot like the blazon in Moster Hunters.

Speaker 2

Do we know what this game is?

So then it says a memo.

Speaker 3

I mean there's literally a scene of them cooking like Guacamolean.

It's literally like the Monster Hunter food points Monster Hunter.

Yeah, it's a million, it's exact.

I mean, look, that's not a bad direction, to be clear.

Speaker 2

No, no, no, yes, I get it.

Speaker 4

Yeah, as a matter of fact that the boot leg the Horizon game it is a Most Hunter too.

So maybe I don't know, maybe we're so you don't do.

Speaker 2

It so mad about it.

Speaker 3

You are right, there is something these Yeah, the faces, it's like, oh, that doesn't look quite right for this series.

I don't know, Like, look, this could be something.

I don't know, right, people do like this franchise.

I like this franchise.

Fine, I'm not like super down aant like like you and some of our peers.

Uh, this isn't the worst thing in the world.

Speaker 1

I don't hate it.

It's just very much not for me, that's all.

Speaker 3

Sure, A little a little strange to not have a p S five version for your your PlayStation.

Speaker 2

I p yep Ranger rumble though.

I mean, like, like you said, I see how this one happens, and you're right, it probably doesn't take away from anything else that we would care about, but I don't know it.

Part of me is like, yeah, I feel like you can and get away with announcing something like this if you have something else that is traditional, go along with it.

Speaker 1

But you know that that's not how the world works.

Speaker 2

It's like they don't They aren't always ready to talk about Diablo for when they're ready to talk about Diablo Immortal, Like I get it at a certain point, but we'll see.

I don't know.

It looks kind of cute if it came to console, I might play it.

But yeah, okay, any other news we should talk about.

Let's see here about Mario movie stuff.

Speaker 1

But yeah, would you say Christian.

Speaker 4

Sorry she's yelled Benny Benny Sassy is, Oh, yes, he's going to be Bowser Junior.

Speaker 1

Let's see, and who was a Brie Larson right?

Is going to be Rosalina.

Speaker 2

We watched the Mario Galaxy movie trailer.

I'm hopeful.

I think Mike that this one's going to be even better again.

I'd like the first one fine, just not a movie.

I'll be like you watching a bunch of my life, Like I got what I needed out of it when I watched it in the theater twice.

This next one on my I hope that they kind of are like, find a way to improve a few things, kind of make give it a little bit more heart and and then if there's a bunch of references, I'll be happy.

And it really was weird to see Bennye Safty announced a's that voice, But how about you?

What do you think?

Sorry?

Speaker 4

Sorry before you continue, you people, I invite people to watch.

They kind of find a reaction because they thought he was.

Tim thought he was a joke that they were playing on them when that show up there he was.

Speaker 2

So it was very funny because Benny Saftie pops up and Tim Getty's like, it's like looking around the corner for Greg Miller to pop out and be like, got you fuck her?

He's like, did they?

Because I think they delayed it because there it was like six am for them when it when it aired, so I think they watched it later and he was like convinced that Greg and Barrett played a trick on him, and I thought that was pretty funny.

But yeah, how about you, Mike, what do you think.

Speaker 3

I'm trying to I'm trying to see if I can start a pull to see if people knew who ben Benny Safty.

Speaker 1

Way, don't think the average person knows who Benny Safty is.

Speaker 2

I think you're completely fair to think that.

Speaker 4

Yeah, if you have a letterbugs account, you might know who he is, ifiel.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that's that's exactly what it is.

Yes, if you have a letterbacks account, you almost certainly know who Benny Safty is.

Yes, And I have a letterbox account, and so that really got me.

And I'm not surprised anyone who doesn't wouldn't know.

I am asking the poll.

Speaker 3

Now there you go, and fans like you're wind on left rings, Dan, you think maybe you are in like a like a small niche community.

Perhaps it's uh, you know, it's it's the film Twitter and film Blue Sky and all that stuff.

It's relatively large, but I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's still a niche community.

So yeah, look, I'm not arguing that you should have known who Benny Safty was and had the same reaction as me.

Speaker 2

Mike, I was completely fine that I was the only one who felt that way.

You're fine, baby girl.

It's dand thank you.

I appreciate that.

Uh that moves out April third, I am, like I said, hopeful about it.

Speaker 3

Movies are niche the love Yeah.

Speaker 2

The level of film.

Speaker 3

Fan who has seen uncut gems is yes, that is unusual.

That is not like a normal person.

Most enthus you're a film enthusiast.

That's why I'm not.

Speaker 1

It's got a film degree.

Speaker 2

You don't like.

Speaker 3

Not everybody's a film enthusiast to that degree.

That knows who Benny saftius BA Safty is not a household name.

Obviously, Adam Sailor is not niche.

Speaker 2

All right, well that's gonna do it for the big story so far.

We are going to take a break.

We'll come back and we'll hit these super chats that people have been sending in right after this.

Speaker 1

All right, we're back, Mike, read those super chats.

Speaker 3

Okay, it's just nicely get out here chat Ai summary.

You're blocking the first super chat viewers in the chairscussing movies like Uncut gems making comparisons between Vegan characters and movie characters.

All right, get out, all right, Nathan Malone, he says, but the Game Awards a month away.

What are your big preditions for games shown?

With this being their first year on Prime video?

Surely they go big.

I mean it's him being on Prime Video doesn't mean that other companies are going to be more likely to have games to show him or not necessarily.

It kind of just depends on where people are.

We had a pretty good one last year, if I recall, remember, I agree, we're feeling good about it at the end of it.

I remember mostly being embarrassed that I pump myself up into thinking halfway through what happened, which even of all this valves off happening, and be thinking that they're making halfway three.

I don't think it gets announced out of Game Awards.

Clearly, they're just going to do that on their own time.

Speaker 2

That's the Valve w Yeah, you're right, Like I want to say, you know, Kighley did used to do those twenty four hour whatever, those stories he would write.

He would in bed with the developers, and he did that for a lot of Valve games.

So he has a very strong relationship with like Gabe, so maybe he could pull those strings.

And the fact that the game, if it's coming, which it seems like it is, and it's not announced as part of this hardware stuff, which of course I think that makes sense because if they announced Half Life three alongside the hardware stuff, half Life three would have completely buried that stuff.

It would have been talked about, for sure, but most of the conversation would have been around Half Life three.

There's a chance that shows up at the Game Awards, but I'm really hoping because yeah, Mike, fine, you're gonna win Game of the Fantasy Critic this match.

Speaker 3

Oh yeah, I forgot.

I don't even remember why I picked that up.

Somebody talk like that looks good.

I picked that thing up, crazy, Mike, absolutely insane.

So yeah, you deserve to win.

So I'm like looking now to like see what's gonna happen.

I think I do have second place pretty much unlocked.

Sean could catch up, but I'm interesting to see if Dan and Backlar swapt places.

Backlar has a counter picked half Life.

Speaker 2

Three, and I want to see Half Life three like Shadow Drop and come back and just completely ruined him because Dan counterpicked Metroid.

He should lose, he should go like do very poorly out of all of us, but backl Art could still actually get below him if if that happens.

Speaker 4

So you want to hear a sad story of a fantasy critic who was going to win my fantasy credit because I picked up our craaiders.

Speaker 2

Little did I know the Eurogamer will come around and choose straight up the time, such ai slop Christians.

That's all your fault.

Speaker 4

The worst part I had to defend the review because people being mean, and I think it's a really good review and review.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I'm glad we had that conversation for sure.

Speaker 3

Thinks could be shown though, Uh, I think we might see Kingdom Hearts four again finally maybe Yeah, I don't think seven uh spreemake part three, but Kingdom Arts four might be time to re emerge.

Speaker 2

I think we will see a new Ridge Racer and Mega Man game.

Really, I think there's a chance we'll see a new Mega Man.

Yeah, I think that's actually in the cards a little bit.

Speaker 3

Okay, now we're on that track.

You think this is where we finally see what they're doing with Castlevania Economy, Please, I really hope.

Speaker 2

So uh no, no, wait, no, remember Konami and Keeley.

Uh they're they're still fighting because there's's friend and stupid, right, Okay, so that happened separately.

Speaker 3

Coach, Am I still going to show up and like talk about nothing.

Speaker 2

Huh?

He'll talk about the death stranding anime that just got announced.

Speaker 1

So he'll probably have like some like cast characters to show off.

Speaker 2

He'll you know what, that's right, he'll I guarantee he walks on the stage with the cast of who's going to be on that show?

Speaker 3

You don't think it's gonna be some kind of celebrity.

Speaker 2

Do you?

No, no, no, it'll be some voice actor.

Yeah that he's a deep respect for.

No, No, Ben, I fucking hope so he could be.

Actually, I'm very really, really good.

He certainly knows who Benny Safty is.

I promise you that.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, he's trying to scount him right now.

You know, you know Tim, that's who's he hits for the enema.

Speaker 2

I can see it all right.

Speaker 3

Next up here, El grug says, is it any consolation of Mike?

He does look the best in Blake Club costumes.

Speaker 2

I don't know.

Speaker 3

I saw Jeff in that knuckles suit.

Speaker 2

Uh.

Speaker 3

Also, how is Dan's blake ripcord looking for leisure suit Mikey.

I seen a lot of people saying this, Jeff like, oh, I should pull the ripcord on Dan, and like, I don't know, this makes to be soft what But in my eyes Dan has done nothing wrong.

Speaker 2

Dan one the game with rules that we all agreed to.

Speaker 3

He did a cheat, he happened to win, and then he like it was his right two blight somebody like everyone, I'm not surprised, it's me, but he was able to do that, and he picked up Bad Game, which is the show.

Like, I am not mad at Dan for this at all.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Yeah, Like it would be kind of absurd because we're probably gonna do Blat in the bank again, and you would have every right to do all of this to either one of us and we would not be able to complain in that situation either.

No, I'm one hundred percent with you.

Also, so I respect you because you sound like a sane person in a world that's like I got really mad because I was in the arc greator subreddit or whatever, and they're like, it's not it's not toxic to shoot people it's toxic to pretend you're their friend and then shoot them.

Speaker 1

I'm like, fuck, no, it's not.

Speaker 2

That's the game.

It's the entire game.

What are you talking?

It has like a million up votes.

Oh my god, Oh don't get back and people just playing the game.

Speaker 3

This reminds me of when I was really into Heartstone and they had to get rid of the thanks e mode or something like that because everyone's like, I know that when they say it, they're being sarcastic, and everybody was like getting really mad and they just got.

Speaker 2

Rid of it.

Speaker 3

I was like, oh my god, everybody.

Speaker 2

Yep, it's it's that stuff all over again.

Speaker 3

Dan asked Caleb, i't Benny Safty and sent me photos a photos of what of her?

Like, Oh, she just has a lot of like I don't know that is face.

Speaker 2

It's just like like I'm pray by that.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's the face of the average American over your face.

Speaker 2

He's Safty.

Speaker 5

What Yeah, Perica, you asked them about about Benny's I keep looking by the way at my tabs.

Speaker 3

Where I wrote the name doubt each time because I don't I don't know this person.

Speaker 2

It's one of the Safty brothers.

Mike, come on, there's more.

There's more.

Great now there's two of them.

Uh.

Speaker 3

Next up is blood Board PC twenty twenty five.

I can't wait for a couple of months when the name becomes one Board PC twenty twenty six.

I think when I met blood Board, he was blood Board PC twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2

Do you think that's right?

Speaker 3

I predict twenty twenty seven, Maybe you'll be a happy person.

Speaker 2

I don't know you'll see probably not actually no, so I predict you might never be happy.

Speaker 1

I don't know we'll see.

Speaker 3

Blood Born PC twoenty twenty five, says blood it's about blood Board.

Blood Boorn never came to PC one.

Do you think there's a better chance on PC two?

PC two is what some people are calling the new Steam machine.

Dan, that is wild that we can't play fucking blood Born on a PC sixty frames per sex.

I mean, Sony's releasing Horizon games on PC before PlayStation now and we can't play Bloodborn on PC.

Speaker 2

It's upsetting.

Yeah, if you seems like such a slam dunk, it is like now this mythological game.

If they yeah, I mean, I'll repeat what I've heard and again, this is stuff that's been updated recently by some sources that nothing's happening with Bloodborne, and then going back before that, so this is older info, but I think other people have said it now that from Soft wants to be involved for whatever reason, because I think they're protective of it, I think is what the actual statement is now, and they are busy so they can't.

It's and I think, and then I speculate that there is still some weirdness between Sony and from Software, and maybe it's not a huge amount of weirdness, but at least enough weirdness where from Software seems more interested in working with other companies before they go back to work with Sony, so we'll see.

And then at the same time, I think Sony is not necessarily running to do much with from just because I think, or at least with blood Bloodborne specifically because Bloodborne so like it solds like seven million copies, and I think for some reason, I think Sony looks at that and it's like, well that, but maybe that's not worth all this effort, which is crazy.

We know, we know it would do better.

Speaker 3

It's really good and if you, if you like, were able to make a sequel, it would just do much better.

Speaker 2

And this was the tenth anniversary of it.

Speaker 3

If you had done a special dish, a remaster, it would have done incredibly well.

Speaker 1

I think it's just that it would just crush a piece of incredible.

Speaker 4

It doesn't even know like like a PS five version.

No, it isn't it like a sixty.

Speaker 3

No, not at all, not even there's no official way to play that game in sixty forrade per second.

It's only up the base PS four version.

That is all that you get.

Speaking of things in sixty fps, I see that Red De Redemption one is coming to like all the newer consoles with like a next gen patch, including switch To, and I think I want to play Red Dead Redemption one again on switch To.

Speaker 2

I played quite a bit of it when it was up upgraded on for backward capatibility on Xbox Series, or maybe it was even back on Xbox one X.

Either way, it was like, oh man, this game is great this way, it really is well done.

Speaker 3

Okay, all right cyers Scotchwan says, if there was a uh GB Mortal Kombat game, you think me giant bomb in that game boy, because there was one of those, what would the non gory fatalities be example, Mike, Forest fed and Apple favorite top five Mortal Kombic characters of five host please and thanks, uh okay, five best Mortal combat characters are Smoke, sub Zero, Scorpion, Irmek, and Rain uh.

And then the five worst are everybody else?

Speaker 1

All right, and what would our non gory fatalities be?

Speaker 2

Do?

Is it like baby realities?

That friendship Baybaladies?

Yeah?

Yeah, okay, friendship for friendship again?

All right?

Speaker 3

The Light Club Buzzbald, We just buzzball, so yeah, buzzball.

Speaker 2

Yeah yeah, Jan pops on the screen and begins force feeding someone ball yes, right.

The nine Challenge, Oh yeah, oh you get buried under a mountain of chicken nuggets.

Yeah, I guess that'd be fatal.

But or maybe just one hundred nuggets just slap you in the face.

Maybe that's what it is.

Speaker 3

Kitty cat Man I three says pro tip for Mike.

They can't yellt you for saying the sea word if he had serving in front of it, even then, I'd like, I think that belongs to women.

I don't think I you know.

Speaker 2

Well, anyone who's fabulous can say it, and that's freaking oh war.

Speaker 4

I would think of the other were the one we bound on cham Yeah, you can't say that.

Speaker 2

What's the other?

I guess I don't want to know what the other sea word is.

Speaker 3

Ah Zipper Harmon says you mentioned playing You mentioned playing Siberia, Mike Kira command the Amerzone remake said in the same world standalone missed like remake release.

Speaker 2

Earlier this year.

Yeah, I saw this when I looked into it.

Speaker 3

Apparently Amazon is in the same universe as Siberia and it had to remake this year.

It's weird, Like, boy, I didn't hear and we talked about this, so I'm actually kind of realiy to hear if somebody talk about it.

Yeah, I would like to check that we still have some miss to play.

And again, I know the series has been on a bit of a small hiatus because of first Halloween time and now just all this constant traveling.

But we're gonna get to Miss three here.

Oh yeah, looking forward to it, andw says when halfway three is finally revealed fingers crossed for next week, we'll see.

Speaker 2

Well, you guys beat out already, really okay?

Speaker 3

If we beat Alexyevin already, if I beat I beat it on Quest two a virtual desktop, and I was west.

Speaker 2

I did beat Alex.

Speaker 3

I reviewed it back in the day on an index and it's like the only negative thing about it is that VR made me sick, right, and like, what's not really the game's fault.

Otherwise it's fantastic.

It's great, Uh, super neat.

Speaker 2

I liked it a lot.

Speaker 3

I liked the way that it kind of like set up a half life three instead of just like an episode three.

Speaker 2

I suppose, like we originally had.

It's good stuff.

I played up until the sewers, and then the sewers were kind of scary and gross and I was too scoop to go in there and it was a cold baby.

I was a huge baby.

Speaker 3

Crono Rigg says, seeing Jeff and dam and Tim Getty's all have the same reaction to Benny Safty was so funny that I can wait to finally see the Metro Prime four previews tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I remind back of are like in Becker insinuated there's something I'd be interested in, so I need to I need to see.

Speaker 2

Gosh, that game is coming out.

So I can't say whether or not I sat down to see that game or whether or not.

I'm excited, but we'll find out tomorrow.

How woult you have that?

James Pye says, if they're like, let's say, if there was footage out there that was oh.

Speaker 3

Right, yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess I could have done that.

James Pie says steam controller resembles the joy con Crypt crypt the joy Gone.

Speaker 2

Grip Dog ears Yes, actually I know what he means by this.

Yes, and it does a little bit.

It looks like a bunch of different controllers.

I agree.

I think dan or Jan said it looked a little bit like the Dreamcast controllers in terms of its height, and it's like, yeah, I see it.

Speaker 3

Lex wy He says, how are we celebrating Transgender Awareness Week?

I say trans rights are human rights?

Speaker 4

All right, we went, I'm gonna play some Victoria Tree or Europa Universals.

Speaker 2

I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna go on the street and do the same thing.

All yell.

Trans writes there you go, I go, you get.

You can't allow to say bitch like I do.

Speaker 1

No, No, I can't pull it off.

Speaker 3

I mean it's illegal.

Donnye reesis what's your space?

Speaker 2

Look out there and say that, hey, you're serving c and people will be like, what are you talking about?

You're being weird.

Speaker 3

What's your perfect Steam Machine face play?

It looks exactly like the face of a robot that I recognized, like that the robot who knew the Ultimate answer in Kitchecker's.

Speaker 2

Guide to the Galaxy.

Oh sure, Yeah, it looks just like that.

Yeah, the led bar kind of looking like the mouth maybe a little bit.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah, so maybe i'd make it look like that or you know, a GameCube.

A spice warns GameCube because it looks, you know, so gamecubey.

Anyways, I would want it to be like still make it clear to the Steam Machine.

I wouldn't like straight up want GameCube branding on there, but I would want it to be very GameCube adjacent.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

I saw the the di y e ink display.

Speaker 2

It's one of the Valve engineers created and like put on there that they're not going to sell.

I'm like, I bet some of the community is going to come up with something like that.

That would be fun.

But yeah, ideal face plate it will be GameCube.

Shit, I'm just I'm just like mic on that stuff.

Speaker 1

I love the GameCube.

Speaker 2

It looks enough like that that I will make it very suggestive of the GameCube.

TAYM.

Speaker 3

Morales has been a member on YouTube for thirty four months on the Tubman tier sets.

Antonio, we know you guys are busy.

We know you guys are stressed.

Thanks for the content, right anyways, Penis, thank you Antonio.

Oh yeah, Oh I feel sorry for me.

I'm not you know.

Speaker 2

Too, stresses it.

Speaker 3

It's a lot of travel and then getting sick and I'm like.

Speaker 2

We were just we're just going all the time.

But it's all like I try to tell people, it's the good kind of busy.

I remember I talked to Greg Miller like a few years back, and I was like, aren't you just always feeling so busy?

And this is when I like, I always felt like I should be writing, Like just constantly felt like I should be writing something.

Speaker 1

I had like five ideas at a time.

Speaker 2

It's like I'll write this thing, and then I felt bad that I was writing that thing instead of this other thing.

And it was a lot, and we've I've now positioned myself in a job where it's like I feel a little bit more like I can manage it, even though we certainly are busy, but not in any bad way.

Yeah, this is.

Speaker 3

Always a busy time, and there is definitely you know, I think everybody in the industry takes it slightly easier once the holidays get rolling here.

So once we get all the Game of the Year stuff banked and it's Christmas eve time and all that stuff, it'll be I mean, I said, thing I hate right now is because I'm trying so much.

I'm like just seeing my house kind of get like cluttered and disrepair.

Speaker 2

That's why I haven't had time for games to the last two weekends.

I spent the last two weekends basically just cleaning up this basement.

I did a bunch of stuff in the braje and upstairs, but it was mostly the spacement because it just got the INTROBU came for it, and there was like just several big spots of mess and I had to just focus on it and it took forever.

And now it's like back to a decent shape.

But it's like, oh, I had to make a choice.

I could do this or that, and I'm like, I got to get this done before the holidays.

Speaker 3

I gotta get decorating too.

I got to clean before you can decorate.

So once I'm back from this trip before I go to Disney.

That's what I want to do.

Great, clean all that stuff XT up is well.

Kyle Barne, thank you for joining the Hamilton tier on Facebook.

Speaker 2

Appreciates that.

Thank you.

Speaker 3

That's the that's he says.

Finally, symmetrical thumb six.

I can play Katamari Domici the way God intended.

Oh there is a game I still actually do want to play.

People really like that new Katamari quite a lot.

Speaker 2

It's really good on the Steam deck with the with the symmetrical sticks on there.

Speaker 3

J Web says, genuine question.

Should I pick one of these Steam machines up or build a computer?

FYI haven't touched a computer for gaming over fifteen years.

Speaker 2

I'm thirty.

Speaker 3

By the way, a game currently on a console.

Speaker 2

I in your situation, I probably would get one of these if the price is right.

Obviously this Steam os is going to be a safe environment and easy environment, and then it's still a computer so you can install whatever you want on there.

Uh yeah, I would.

Speaker 1

I would do a Steam machine.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 3

You're gonna start building up a Steam digital library or just you know, computer digital library in general, which is going to become an important thing, important thing I imagine ye, e Jacolbe, thank you so much for five gifted memberships on YouTube to the game mess appreciate that so much.

Thank you, Jackalope screaming mass.

This should be called a new Blake Club season, leisure suit Minaate, box office, bust and grub cole Stan.

Speaker 2

I like that a lot.

Oh, it's also it's a leisure suit Minati box office Mitch.

So there's another one where there were two words were changed, Mike, but I think there's enough other words to sort of compensate this time around, so you're not upset about this name, right, I'm not upset.

I think, look it's good.

Speaker 3

I think maybe uh, leasersuit Mikey might have sounded more like leisure suit Larry, but laser suit Manati works fine as well.

Speaker 1

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 3

As many people are syllable sickos like I am.

Ejaculbe says, I'm intrigued by all the steam machine in the steam frame.

The patroller looks great as well.

Yeah, I think, yeah, it's it's definitely not a bad that they're doing this right, even if you're not interstated, it's like, this is good.

Put this stuff out there how don't think, Yeah, good, I was good.

Speaker 2

We didn't talk about it because I don't.

I don't think this is gonna happen.

But a lot of the conversations around yeah, we're Xbox is fucked the next generation.

It's like, why would you get an Xbox?

And it's like it's gonna be in retail all this other stuff, and this thing probably won't be, and at least not at first.

Speaker 1

Even if it is, I still.

Speaker 2

Think Xbox will mostly be fine for what they're going for.

I just don't think what they're going for is going to be all that enticing to a lot of people.

Well how do you feel?

Speaker 3

I mean, I think Xbox is already in trouble.

Speaker 2

Uh yeah.

Speaker 3

If this contributes to that or not, I don't know.

I think there's there's both an argument of like, yeah, this is gonna the Xbox is gonna be in walmarts and this is it.

But also if like the the Xbox is maybe going to be chasing more of an enthusiast crowd, and that is also what this stuff is for.

So maybe, but again, like at the end of the day, Xbox's destiny is kind of its own.

Still, yeah, and I think there's because of this.

Speaker 2

Yeah, and I think that next will actually be significantly more powerful than this.

Will that matter though, And I mean if that Xbox is just a PC, I would I'm gonna probably be in a situation where someone's gonna come up to me like which one of these should I get?

And I will be like, you know, unless you need that extra power, just get a Steam machine.

It's better for you because Windows is a pain in the ass.

Still.

Speaker 3

Yeah, like if I to open up Windows Update or whatever again, right yeah?

Uh zerram One says, as a console player who doesn't want to build a PC doesn't have the money for a pre built if the Gabe Cube is reasonable price, this with my policing five is a perfect scenario for me.

Speaker 2

I think they're so right there in a position where the Steam sale mythology is also like something that every gamer knows, even if you aren't someone who's in the PC gaming and you're you're just like, well, yeah, I just can't justify the upfront cost.

If they can get around that up upfront cost barrier, if they can't position this and price it super aggressively, I think a lot of people will look to look at this thing as that is how I'm going to get into Steam sales and start building my digital library on Steam.

So yeah, I think there's probably a lot of people lying in Wait, maybe not tens of millions, but I think certainly millions.

Speaker 3

I mean, it's like, if this thing's reasonably priced, and you can just imagine, you know, let's assume it's going to run any game from like twenty nineteen or before mostly very well, and how all those games, almost every game from that perier before is eventually for sale for like five dollars or something.

Right, It's going to end up being very cost effective.

Unless you really need to have the great newest super thing.

Maybe that will look good on here too, I don't know.

Speaker 2

Yeah, who knows.

Speaker 3

Ali Merrickle says knowing a movie director in the year twenty twenty five is like knowing a game director nerd shit.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 3

Now people have some people have told me this person is also an actor.

Speaker 2

If you give them that he is recently more of an actor than a director even, Yeah, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 3

Philip Fortuna says more people know Benny Safty than Mini Mouse.

Speaker 2

That I doubt.

I doubt greatly.

Speaker 3

I think I think that's a bait and it's kind of working.

Speaker 4

It feels like it a little bit.

Speaker 2

Nah.

This this is me not falling for bait.

This is him not being put in the news because he was mad.

But you can't put up in the newspaper for that.

Speaker 3

It was like, he's in Happy Gilmore.

Everyone was in Happy Gilmore too.

It was in Happy Gilmore too.

Y'all just didn't notice.

It's not that big inde.

John Daly's a household name.

So is Bennie Safty taom Moros says.

Is there a punishment for the last place in Fantasy Critic?

No, I don't think so.

Speaker 2

There was supposed to be, but because of happened happenings and goings on, it might be hard to do that.

I guess there's like there's a real last place, and then there's the effect of last last place.

Speaker 1

We might come up with something, but nothing major will.

Speaker 2

What's really important is that there's a really good reward for whoever wins.

I don't know about that.

Speaker 3

I think we're talking about getting in the crown.

Actually, I remember this is Dan who lasses are all mad.

He thinks I was like, they're the person who wins to get a crown.

Speaker 2

I'm Dan.

I think he also said money.

By the way, I think he also said the person who went should get a lot of money.

Speaker 3

I'm Dan.

My team is named no RPG's allowed.

Even though the best rated games series on RPG eames, I tried pride for its not coming out this year.

Oh man, just fucking getting him, damn.

Speaker 2

Me or something.

This week day brig is a crown and money.

Oh yeah, never mind.

Speaker 3

I never said a backward about Dan for my life.

Speaker 2

Gim the crowd and buddy, we'll see that trophy.

Maybe her crown.

I guess yeah.

Uh Aka says uh.

Speaker 3

If Halfway three is announced after Silk Song came out and GTA six is dated, where the next Unicorn games, my guess is Blood Born two, Typhle three, and Old Squl six.

I mean like Bloodborn two and Title three just may not ever happen, is the issue?

Speaker 2

Right?

Elder Scroll six will be the next one?

Speaker 3

Yeah, Elder Scroll six, I get I guess that is the next one.

Gosh yeah, it's like a lot of these are just actually happening now.

Speaker 2

Huh wow.

Speaker 3

That like we're not live where we're like Stilke Song like happened right, that is like almost already a game from the past.

Speaker 1

Uh right, yeah, that was a game that has had happened.

Speaker 2

Yes, it's happened in the past.

Yeah, it's behind us now very strangely.

Speaker 3

Oh, as He's right, there is still beyond Good and Evil too, It's okay, sure, yeah, why not a bunch of weird Ubisoft things like that, and the fucking Prince of Perga stands a time remake.

Speaker 2

You can forever to Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3

Uh, fire Hair says, so who buying that?

Speaker 2

You be soft?

Speaker 3

Oh yeah, we kind of didn't really talk about that how they were supposed to do their earnings today, Like we're not doing that.

We're not doing that.

Nevermind, everyone's like and you just beally when they do that kind of thing, it's something BIG's happening, like maybe a sale or some other news that's going to really impact the stock.

Speaker 1

They didn't just like say, with their post money stuff.

Speaker 2

They had to like delist their their stock from the stock exchange while that is happening, so its stock is frozen.

Yeah, some big ship might be happening.

I don't know, because Saudia or no, it is a ten cent that is involved in the trio studio, the one that is like Assassin's Creed and far Cry and one of the Tom Clancy things, Rainbow six.

Yeah, so who would step in and buy the rest?

I guess it could easily be Saudi Arabia.

It's for sure.

Who else is spending money?

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Tuber says that the seame Mike's taking this anti Safty stance.

The Safty brothers seemed like they would get along with Minnaughty's r I P P PO.

Never get Look, I had nothing against the guy personally or anything like that.

Speaker 2

You said you would fucking kill Benny's side things.

I can't believe.

No information lies red boxes.

Speaker 3

Can the Steam machine succeed in the console space without big multiplayer support like Battlefield, Call of Duty and uh Fortnite?

Speaker 2

I mean no, but it will have those things right well, uh, let's see, oh, call Duties, Call of Duties on Steam.

But the anti piracy stuff might still might not work with right the anti cheat thank you, anti cheat stuff might not work with Linux based stuff yet.

The same with Battlefield.

But I think Valvet knows that and they're putting their planting their flag in the ground.

It's like we are focused on Linux, you guys.

Should come to us instead of us trying to figure out you.

And I think they're probably right.

In the long run, these companies will come around to supporting Linux.

Arc Raiders does, and it's doing very it's doing very well.

So it's like, Okay, if Arc Raiders, the new big hot multiplayer game can do this, why can't fucking Destiny to No?

Speaker 4

So never Bunchie said, if you've tried to put that game anything in the linuxhit, they're gonna go to your house.

Speaker 2

They're gonna kill your dog, and you exactly what they said.

You're right.

Speaker 3

Oh no, Bungee is threatening me, Like after.

Speaker 2

They're gonna come to your house, it's still your children's artwork and put it in their game.

Better watch out, Like they're gonna collapse over dead before they make it to the front.

Yeah.

Yeah, but he's really thriving right now.

Speaker 3

Taco Bellmont says, do you think it's worth getting a steam Deck now if you don't have one yet?

Or wait for a Steam Tech do down the road.

Oh I don't think a steam Deck too is gonna happen anytime soon.

There's a lot of people are like, I'm not getting this oha a second.

I be getting steam Deck mixed up a steam Machine steam Deck too.

Speaker 2

How long do you think that is?

Actually, I think it's still pretty I think that's still a couple of years off.

I think it's twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 3

It is kind of like I guess it is pretty late in the game now to like get a steam Machine one.

Speaker 2

You get one, get one other refurbished ones when they're when they're like on a deep discount.

Even get like one of the LCD screens ones if you haven't bought one by now, just get them when they're like three hundred dollars.

And I think it's probably still worth it unless you're, like, unless the reason you've been waiting is you weren't sure if you were into it, and like cost isn't an issue.

In that case, maybe get one of these newer handhelds that you could just put steam os on or Bazide or something.

Uh.

Speaker 3

Jade Camp says, do you think Xbox will start having AI pooh pooh kaka?

Speaker 2

Uh?

Yeah, probably a little bit.

What was who is it?

Disney Plus said they were going to have their short form video thing with AI video or like AI community videos or something like that.

Speaker 3

I saw, I saw the headline like tried to read it.

I was just like, uh, it's like gross.

Speaker 1

So yeah, probably.

Speaker 3

Brian Allen with the super chat no message, Thank you, Brian.

Let me see oh here it is.

Don't know how super chat works, but I'll have to say you're in the right.

Speaker 2

Mic had to get more to and OPI around.

Speaker 3

The only two big things Sati has done as an actor, uncut Jumps only did fifty million at the box office.

Speaker 1

Yep, it's a yeah yeah nice Niche.

Speaker 3

Last week says which Giant Bond member is the most likely to appear in an out of Sandler movie?

Speaker 2

Anyone would say it would be true, it would be it would be Dan.

For some reason, it would be Dan, but we would try to make it Jan, just like we're still trying to get.

Speaker 1

Mike to be be a.

Speaker 2

Hug Skipper jug word.

Speaker 1

Yes, thank you.

I'm sorry about that.

I don't want to ruin your chances.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you're doing good job.

The drum Kid ninety two says, I know it's a big uptick in a gb community cross poll nation here since the rise of Definitely Corp.

How do you guys feel about the communities merging?

I mean, it's what's happening anyways.

Uh, especially since I've been told since I've been full tied at Giant Bomb, right, I mean, you know, it makes sense.

There's obviously a lot of cross sections.

Like if you like me and Jeff, you're probably currently also a fan of Giant Bomb at the moment.

Speaker 2

Yep.

Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3

I agree, And you know, it's a great more people here.

Speaker 2

It's fantastic, no complaints.

I think it's it's it's been working you know, there's and we're all kind of pretty casual about it.

There's no reason that it can't be more more crossover between stuff we're doing and the stuff in the community.

It's been working out really well so far.

Speaker 3

You know a lot of people from here went over there too, like first when Jeff first started going there and then when I started shooting off.

So it's always been appreciated.

Speaker 2

Yep.

Wel.

Speaker 3

Greg says, if you all do the thing where you choose your own Blake Club game, you should do a giant On premium poll for who chose the best slash worst game winner gets Dan the winner Dan?

Speaker 2

Uh Yeah, the.

Speaker 3

Blight yourself idea, which I think might be interesting.

I kind of I kind of blighted.

I did kind of blight myself with Mortal climet Mythologies.

I yee you guys.

I was like, you should have given me that instead of Special Forces, and then you did, and I was like, what the hell is wrong with me?

Speaker 2

Yeah?

Like Dan did blight himself with Sonic, and and then when he was talking about like when he was when Sonic and we were talking about first starting Bload Club in Earnest, it was like, oh, well yeah, and I'll play Bubbsy three D and stuff like that.

So we've kind of all done it a little Yeah.

Speaker 3

Interesting, interesting, the ones have gone to the Blade ourselves.

Then last Gek says, which Dispatch character would you want to grab a beer with?

I think I only I think I only know the guys an iromn guy and the blonde girl.

Speaker 2

There's a bat, there's a bad person.

Yeah, bat played by moist critical.

Is that how he say?

Speaker 4

Is?

Speaker 2

I don't really know?

Speaker 4

Yeah?

Speaker 2

I would.

I would definitely get it with water Boy, he he's homie.

And then the jack Septic guy, little guy character.

I like him a lot.

And then Alana, we have a we have a party there party.

Speaker 3

Uh that's it for super excuse me.

That's in for super chats for now.

Thank you everybody, all right.

Speaker 2

Thank you everybody, indeed, thank you my thank you for reading those.

We're gonna take another break.

We aren't gonna have a game or a special segment today, just because again I haven't started packing, and I leave tomorrow and I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'm not kind of many time.

If I don't do it, I'm sick and Mikey's sick.

So we're gonna take this break.

We'll come back talk about what we've been playing, and then get out what I'll come up with a game to play when come back.

Don't worry.

Oh great, we'll be right back.

Everyone.

All right, Mike, we're back.

What wait?

Do you want to do the game?

Speaker 1

First?

Speaker 2

You have to game?

Speaker 3

Okay, Kevin, I have a D eight.

Do you think it's gonna be even or odd?

I think it's gonna be odd.

It is a six, you idiot.

Speaker 2

You lose I own you now, I'm not wow shit, oh man, So not only do I not own jan I don't even have myself.

Speaker 3

No, you're yeah, you're right, Yeah, that's it's worked out very poorly for you.

Speaker 2

Can't you know, what I deserve that because I also came up with my own game at the last minute before the or while we were doing the bonus voicemail today Mike, and it was an Apple related game.

Speaker 3

So guys kept talking about Apple's NonStop during the podcast today.

Speaker 2

Now this what's what's going on here?

Speaker 3

Even even at least you'd even at least like be like, uh hahah, Mike would hate this even like say my name, you know like that.

Speaker 2

You're right.

I was gonna say that that's old, but it's still funny.

So I don't know what the point is of that is.

It's still great.

You're right, we should have brought up the fact that you would hate what we were doing.

Whatever.

Speaker 3

Mike's not screwing you guys.

Speaker 2

Where's Mikey?

But yeah, do you want to play my Apple game?

I still have it all pulled up here?

Speaker 5

No?

Speaker 2

Okay, well darn, I asked, all right, everybody, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3

By the way, I will absolve you of my ownership as what if you give me what Coke zero when I ask you to this weekend?

Speaker 2

Okay, I will, I'll do what I can.

Uh, And I appreciate.

Sean said it was a good game.

Uh.

I appreciate because I know Sean the whole time was thinking, oh my god, talking about apple strains again, something he's heard me do one hundred times.

Now, thought Sean met my game?

Oh maybe met your game.

I don't know.

Maybe I don't think he.

I don't want to assume anything reminds him too much.

A Forest Street from last year.

Oh shit, we should play that again.

I'll love that, all.

Speaker 1

Right, Mike, what have you been playing?

Speaker 2

Uh?

Speaker 3

Dragon Quest one?

Ah G two D still going on along there?

It still is that game.

It's just very chill.

It's fun.

I enjoy it.

And then they have more Simpson's Fortnite.

I got I got sexy ned Flanders, which means I got out lucky for you.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I got un luck.

Speaker 3

When we're nothing, uh nothing uh like Fortnite simpsified character, and then I get Homer Simpson.

They then add some new stuff in week two.

They're not like doughnut storms, so sometimes giant donuts fall from the sky.

They added in some more weapons, including the five gun, which actually seems is it good?

Speaker 2

It seems.

I don't know how it works.

I'm terrible at it.

Oh I wont with that one.

Speaker 4

I run the entirely to Gundley with that one, and I won the match with the with the most fly gun in one.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3

Maybe I don't understand because like I just shoot people within it, and it seems like I'd be doing better with any other weapon.

There's some other weird ones, like I got there's some kind of deodorant gun.

I didn't quite understand that reference.

It's like a laser gun thing, so uh.

And then there was like a toxic slingshot thing that like had like a poison effect afterwards.

So that has continued to be, uh, a pretty good time.

And like I said, I started Metroit Prime two with the Prime HAC thing.

I don't feel bad about.

That's the game I have bought on the GameCube, I have bought on the Prime trilogy.

I wanted to buy it again on the switch and or switch to uh and then the opportunity to not rise.

So yeah, I'm playing it with the mouse and keyboard stuff there, and it it was really deap works really well, it turns out, and it's so as far as much as I love love love Prime one, it's like wild to me.

But I had not ever played all the way through two or three.

Speaker 2

Which.

Speaker 3

It's always weird those games, big sin.

It's just that they aren't quite as good as Metro Prime one.

Speaker 2

Right, there's still better than just about any other game that came out around their time.

They're great in all these other ways.

Yeah, I am, I'm the same.

Well I did.

I played through two right away, but I know I've never touched three, like, never once?

Why has it even played through two?

Yeah about Super Metro for four years?

Agen't even played Prime two?

Speaker 3

Well, I mean, well, I think one of these games is a little bit.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I need to play three.

I should maybe get that set up to put on the Steam deck or something.

Yeah, I don't know.

I don't have time for that.

That's crazy.

Yeah, I've been.

I've been enjoying it.

Speaker 3

You know, there's a part even as I'm playway this is quite as good as much a Prime.

Speaker 2

I think the intro is not as interesting with like.

Speaker 3

The space station that you fight, the Paris like Queen that you're on talent for.

It's beautiful and eerie like this, locations are pretty neat and it still feels great too.

Speaker 2

A B.

Speaker 3

Samus Like the whole light World dark world thing.

It somehow, still, even after all these years, still feels a little bit like, yeah, you just kind of took that thing from Link to the past.

Speaker 2

Huh.

Yeah, it feels it.

Speaker 3

Kind of made it like not quite as good a version as that was of exactly.

Speaker 2

Yes, yeah, you can kind of see all the all the hey, let's do Metro Prime butt, and then all those butts aren't quite as as good as the thing that they're taking it from.

So still I love the Metroid Prime two.

It's just Metro Prime one is this holy experienced.

It's that's this unassailable thing, and the other games aren't.

Prime two has an incredible soundtrack.

My favorite metriit song ever might be the Metroid Prime two title theme.

It's just all the ambient music, like a lot of it is from uh Prime one or the series in Love Srigual.

It's just it sounds amazing.

Speaker 3

So it is still it is still very much that there's no major bag fumbled anything like that.

I'm having a good time with it.

Speaker 2

Yep.

Yeah, I've been playing Dispatch that's uh.

I've been playing that each morning, played a little bit more this morning, and continue to really enjoy that that gameplay is still you know, you get two sessions per episode of actually dispatching superheroes.

And I was talking to Backlar about it on BombCast and he was like, OK, camera did get through this so and get back to the story.

And I'm enjoying both aspects equally.

I think that there's a lot of fun character moments in the gameplay.

And then, like I said before, I enjoy any game that like just gives you a vague concept that they want you to think about and then apply in your own way, and and then there's actually a right answer so you can get to be like, am I on the same wave link as this game, I really do a free I think they're like, there's there's not a lot to that, and yet it still feels very deep.

It is what they have going on there.

And then the character in the writing is so good, and it just it looks phenomenal.

It looks it looks so good.

Speaker 3

Yeah, like the craft most important thing in the world to me.

But like, I just never really liked the way a lot of tell Telle games look, even the ones that like were more point click adventure games, like you know, they did it back to the Future game.

Speaker 2

I think that's so neat, and I do like it, and it's kind of ugly.

Speaker 3

I think, you know, it doesn't look that great, So this looking really kind of nifty like that gets me interested for sure, yep.

Speaker 2

And then beyond that, I played some Highrole Warriors.

I've played some more High Role Warriors since the last time I talked about it.

Still I don't think I'm past the three hour mark that you mentioned.

Like, if I ever get past three hours, I need to tell you.

That hasn't happened yet.

I'll let you know if it does.

But like the hour and a half two hours I've put into it, it's like I as always see why people really like these games, and when I'm playing out and having fun, until I'm not, and then I put it down, and then the question becomes will I ever pick it up again?

And I don't.

I don't know if I will.

Like every time I put it down, I don't know if I will.

Now because it's the game on my switch.

When I turn it on and it's there, there's a again an increased chance that I will.

But like in that moment when I set the controller down, I'm just never super compelled to go back to it.

Speaker 1

It is always the most.

Speaker 2

I get this, I already get what this is game out there for me and and at the same time though, it is one of the as as always with the series, and I think may be the most with this one the best version of one of these games, Like it's just the best, Like, oh, they have everything working here, the characters look great, all of the Zelda stuff.

It just it feels so much like a Zelda game in terms of the way it looks and presents that that goes a long way.

And yeah, I'm enjoying spending time with these characters.

Anything else from you, Mike, That's about it.

Jeff, all right, how.

Speaker 1

About we clean up those super chats.

Speaker 3

I think we have a few more here.

Oh, Greg says Jeff's Apple game for Game Mess Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2

It's put it?

Has it even been released out?

If you all heard it?

I haven't heard it.

Yeah.

Speaker 3

How fast did the premium dumps go out?

I guess they might have gone out already.

Speaker 2

Yeah, Shawn's usually on top of those.

Yeah, that's right after the show ends.

That makes sense.

Speaker 3

I guess that makes sense.

Dunheard says I was super late, but I want to say, hey, I have a hard time seeing Steam Machine become truly mainstream unless they address sports slash online multiplayer.

Speaker 2

Yeah yeah, I mean I think that we are not looking at us a Valve that is worried about immediate mainstream success with this version of this device.

This is them establishing a like.

I think they are setting themselves up for a very strong future, and that if they can establish Linux and steam Os as a true alternative to Windows, these companies, like they've had no choice but to support Steam when they were trying to go on other stores, will have no choice but to kind of support Linux and Steam Os because Valve has made it something you cannot ignore.

That might take time, but every choice they're making feels like it is moving everything in that direction in a real, real hard way.

So in ten years time, we might be like, remember when these games weren't on Steam Machine, and now it's like, of course they're launching on there.

I think that's where we're going to end up, all right, anything else, Mike.

Speaker 3

Oh, Mike Gilirius is Mike.

I may be getting myself in AP for Christmas.

RPMI will AP meants annual pass ah okay for Disney.

So yeah, yeah, it's a hey, you get to go to Disney a lot and you have one of those.

Speaker 2

It turns out, Yeah, you get to spend a lot of money at Disney too when you go.

So it'll be good and you'll have super chats for many of our friends.

Speaker 3

Chris Pratt has been a Lincoln number for five months as please watch Super Mario Galaxy movie so I can give you more money.

Speaker 2

Thank you for the Mushroom Kingdom.

Here we come.

Speaker 1

All right, Chris Pratt, we will We'll oblige.

Speaker 2

I will watch that movie.

No product, I will see that movie.

That's true.

Yeah, I guarantee I'll take my family to go see it.

All right, I'm gonna hit this because it's time to start wrapping things up.

Like you where can people find you on the internet or what do you want to tell them?

I don't know, tell people whatever you want.

This week.

Speaker 3

Oh just you know, watch watch the actual life stream this Saturday.

It's gonna be on Giant Bomb, you know, Twitch and YouTube, all those usual places.

We're going to start some point in the afternoon.

Sounds like a little bit right, So yeah, we're gonna talk me an twenty five marathon.

Uh, We're gonna go a while we'll go lay into the night.

Still, we're gonna have a good time.

We're gonna raise some money for children's hospital.

It's gonna be it's gonna be good.

It's gonna be good.

It's gonna be wacky.

I'm going to uh, I'm gonna be tortured.

Speaker 2

Not really though.

Speaker 3

It's all good fun everybody, It'll be great.

Speaker 2

It's fun.

Thinks, right, You.

Speaker 3

Won't You won't actually let him hurt me, right, Jeff, I'm not gonna let him hurt you.

Speaker 2

That's right.

Speaker 3

See absolutely, see gets hurted right there.

Speaker 4

The guy who like completely gives up whenever dances something funny.

Speaker 2

Well, I mean not when Mike.

Mike's gonna be hurt and gives up.

More like joins the party.

It's usually pretty good time.

I just think if someone can go, if someone's gonna get hurt, I don't see why it wouldn't be me because I just don't mind all that.

Yeah, I don't want to be I'm a baby.

Yeah, throw me out in the woods.

I don't give a ship, all right, Mike.

One of these is a real apple?

Which one is it?

Speaker 4

Is?

Speaker 2

It?

The sugar crunch, the sun blush, the amber sweet, the Luda Crisp or the bright Crunch.

Speaker 3

What's the first one?

Speaker 2

Crunch?

Sugar crunch, Give me sugar crunch.

That sounds like a cereal?

Is that your final answer?

That's my final answer.

The real apple is the Ludacrisp.

I was gonna say that.

That's they sell it on Honeycrisp dot com.

You can get a barrel of fifty Ludacrisp apples for like one hundred dollars.

That's that's not a fair price to you.

No, all right, everybody, thanks for listening.

We'll be back back next week with episodes as normal.

What's that?

Oh yeah, Chris, you want to tell you about the community stuff, community weekly stuff.

Speaker 4

What they're doing it every Friday Friday night.

Check the discord, Come hang out, play games, hang out.

Speaker 2

Everybody had the discord.

Thanks everyone, we'll catch you next time.

Fine, we started talk for real.

That's a good fister.

Speaker 4

You know the thing?

How come I writer?

W is there two riders combining one?

That's why it's called double

Speaker 3

I've been juiced in my butt
