Episode Description

Welcome to another episode of our summer season! Host Sophia Pavia chats all about  cold plunges and saunas and how it may help or hurt you during your trying to conceive journey!

Cold plunges have grown in popularity over the years and are essentially submerging your body in cold water or cryotherapy. You typically submerge yourself in cold water for a few minutes in a bathtub, a cold plunge tub or even a natural body of water like a lake during winter.

A sauna is typically a small building designed for heat bathing or using dry or wet heat to induce sweating. It's a space, often wood-lined, where people can relax and experience the effects of heat exposure.

Sophia goes over different research on how cold plunges or relaxing in a sauna impact cortisol levels for women.
