Speaker 2Could this delightful cup of coffee every morning that you drink be actually harming your health?
Maybe?
Welcome to Accelerated Health with Sarah Banta Worrick.
Cut through the noise fast track your journey to better health.
I'm your host, CEO and founder of Accelerated Health Products certified by the National Association of Nutritional Professionals, and I'm here to share the latest unwellness acts, natural health solutions, detox solutions that actually work, from boosting our energy to helping with your hormone and everything in between.
So let's dive in.
I don't know about you, but my favorite time of day is when I'm drinking my coffee.
The world is quiet, I've got my dog, I even have my heated mug that keeps it warm for at least two hours.
It is delightful.
This is more than a beverage.
For most people, it's a ritual.
It's a signal that starts that new day.
But many of you don't realize that what you put in your coffee could actually be undermining your health process.
Creamer's flavored have additives, even that almond creamer, you guys, even if it's organic almond creamer.
We'll talk about that in a minute.
They're often marketed as convenient indulgent that they could be causing a histamine response, inflammation, unexplained weight gain, hormonal disruption, even thyroids slow down.
And if you're listening here, you are carrying a little bit about your health and thinking your coffee is fine for you, but it might be taking you backwards.
So what is in these additives.
Well, they're functional blends.
They're filled with industrial ingredients that extend shelf life, make the texture really yummy, create an artificial sense of creaminess, but they can absolutely be introducing inflammatory or toxic compounds into the body.
Number one carriagenin.
This is derived from seaweed.
Oh well, that sounds healthy.
This is used as a thickener in plant based milks and creamers.
It's considered natural, but studies suggest that it may irritate the gastrointestinal track, damaging your intestinal barrier, leading the leaky gut, bloating discomfort, all of which can impair the nutritional absorption for everything else you eat that day, and even bringing down your immune system.
Then you've got titanium dioxide, whitening agent has been banned in Europe due to evidence that it can accumulate your tissues and cause oxidative stress.
Animal studies link it to immunotoxicity and neurotoxicity, raising concerns about its long term impact.
Then you've got the hydrogenated oils.
We hear about these, they're trans fats.
They alter cell membrane integrity.
Fat.
Oh, well, fat's fine, that's keto.
That's not sugar.
Well, actually, these inflammatory fats can cause insulin resistance more so than real sugar.
But not only that, it drives inflammation through the cardiovascular and the endocrine systems.
Endocrine that's your thyroid, that's your adrenals, that's your sex organs.
These fats have been strongly correlated with all those diseases, heart disease, elevated LDL, cholesterol, insulin resistance.
These are not the healthy fats.
Then you've got propyl parabin This is used as a preservative.
It acts as an endocrine disruptor.
That's your thyroid, that's your metabolism.
It mimics estrogen and interferes with your hormone balance.
Perchlorate chlore Okay, we've talked a lot about iodine.
Idine can get displaced by the halogens.
What are the halogens, the fluoride, the chlorine, the bromide.
Well, perchlorate is full of chlorine that kicks out your idine.
You need iodine for thyroid.
This chemical is found in food packaging, interferes with idine uptake in the thyroid gland.
So what does that mean?
Slower metabolism.
You hear coffee helps with your metabolism, You put this perchlorate in it, or in any of the food you're eating, it's going to slow down your metabolism, not gonna help you out.
Since idine is essential for the thyroid hormone production, this exposure can depress your metabolism, impair brain development because iodine is needed for the brain, and your mood anxiety and depression, and actually help lower your metabolism, create fatigue, cognitive sluggishness.
But wait a second, aren't we drinking coffee for our cognitive enhancement.
All of these things mimic hypothyroidism.
So what are the risks that come from just drinking coffee itself.
Pesticides Coffee crops are among the most heavily sprayed in the world.
Residues from pesticides can contribute to the liver burden, hormonal disruption, neurological stress.
And that's why you must be getting organic coffee.
I talk till I'm blue in the face to my family members because I don't want to drink non organic coffee.
It's like just drinking poison, away from the sweeteners and the creamers and all of the other stuff people like to put in there.
So you choose the organic beans.
They are out there, super easy to get.
Then you've got the micotoxins.
Improper storage of coffee beans allow the mold to grow.
Now, unfortunately, with our toxic overload that is hitting our liver and our whole system after the pandemic, mold is already up in general.
So you add this in.
This is only going to put fuel to the fire.
So you're going to get a bigger growth of mold and candida and parasites and pathogens because it suppresses your immune system, so that your immune system can't fight the little buggers that come in, and then you've got full blown immune issues and pathogens in your body.
So you can get the microtoxin free coffee.
It's essential.
And this goes for eating foods that don't have mold, like the mushrooms and the grapes.
These foods that can be healthy also can prevent or push the mold to go up in your body.
Then you've got the heavy metals.
So coffee plants absorb minerals from the soil, but in contaminated regions they all may also dry and the lead, the mercury, and the arsenic.
This goes for all crops that are concentrated.
Right.
You know, we've done studies or reports and podcasts on the organic way protein powders or the soy protein powders or the hemp protein powders that you're having thinking they're healthy, but if they're coming from crops that have been contaminated with these heavy metals, and you're concentrating the food so you're not just having hemp, but you're having it concentrated into a protein powder, you're even getting more of these heavy metals, and that chronic exposure can hinder your detoxification pathways, your liver and our poor livers.
They've got so much to deal with already.
Then you've got the estrogenic compounds from the packaging.
So a lot of packages have low levels of estrogen, mimicking chemicals like BPA in coffee pods or certain French press systems.
And you probably have this really expensive, nice coffee machine, but it's not giving you what you need, and it's giving you something you don't need.
So what do I do instead?
Number One, I start out with my organic coffee pods and they're not in aluminum right, And instead of adding the process creamers, I view my morning coffee as an opportunity to deliver minerals, antioxidants, mitochondria support.
So I'm not just getting the buzz from the caffeine.
I'm actually getting in an ATP boost, a cellular energy boost.
Each ingredient I add is designed to enhance hydration, brain energy, cellular repair.
So what do I do.
I wake up, I sleepwalk to my idim because making sure that I have that IDINE to kick out any of the other junk that may be hitting me for the rest of the day.
I want to make sure my cells have plenty of iodine in them.
But then I go make my cup of coffee.
I use my special mug that heats up and it stays heated for two hours.
I put in my coffee a little salt, accelerated ancient salt.
Most people underestimate how depleted they are of trace minerals, and this is needed when you're taking your iodine, so it pushes the toxins out of your body.
But what you don't know is beyond providing sixty minerals in a bioavailable form that is clean away from microplastics, heavy metals, and all the things, it helps with a adrenals and thyroid support.
But just adding a pinch to coffee replaces electrolytes loss to overnight, stabilizes your blood sugar, and helps with that caffeine di dehydration effect that you can get.
It also promotes alkalinity, because coffee is acidic, this is extremely alkaline, so it balances that out.
But the other thing is it helps with the taste.
Tastes so good.
Takes away the bitterness of coffee.
The next thing I put in that tastes like nothing, so you wouldn't even know is my accelerated methylene blue.
So caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, but true sustained energy comes from the mitochondria, and accelerated methylene blue helps support that mitochondrial respiration.
And then this is going to increase your ATP.
It supports the transfer of electrons within the mitochondrial electron transport chain, improving that et efficiency.
And guys, your energy doesn't come from caffeine, it comes from ATP.
This also reduces oxidative stress by recycling antioxidants and this includes NAD plus how many of you are taking an NAD supplement, which, by the way, may backfire, make sure you check out my podcast on that.
And it can also recycle glutathion, which is needed for your liver, and by supplementing with a glutathion that might backfire, and I talk a lot about that.
But this increases your glutathion and your NAD internally, not by taking an external supplement.
It helps with your brain's blood flow and oxygen utilization to the brain.
So as you're trying to wake up with your cup of coffee, you're actually getting more mental clarity without the stimulation with the methylene blue.
So it proves to be the smooth, focused energy, no peaks, no crashes, and it's just this nice feeling of a wake feeling like you can take on the day and it's an amazing way and it doesn't taste like anything, So it's not going to ruin your coffee.
And I understand how that is.
Now.
I do add a little monk fruit.
I used to be a steav a person steavy.
It can be hard on the liver.
Monk fruit is what I use.
Otherwise, use real honey or sugar.
All of the other sweeteners they're toxic.
They could be causing leaky gut, and I don't care if they have no calories.
They're toxic, just like the other creamers and other things that we've talked about.
Now, coming soon, we've got my new addition that actually adds creaminess to my coffee.
I can't tell you what it is.
It's a new accelerated product for energy, muscle, hair, skin.
You might want to know what it is coming soon, but by those descriptions you might guess what it is.
But it is the next evolution of what else is out there.
This will put everything to shame in its category.
I'm so excited for this.
It's formulated to support mitochondrial renewal, muscle recovery, hair growth, collagen synthesis simultaneously, and you're going to get cellular repair energy production all at the same time.
I wasn't expecting it from this product, but the boost and energy with nothing else changing has been mind blowing.
So there you go.
Wait for that one.
So how do you build your clean coffee routine?
Number one?
Go take your eating as your idine's doing its work in your body.
You go make your coffee, You feed your dog, you put your slippers on, and then you will have your coffee cup.
Start with organic mold free coffee beans.
Avoid the process creamers and artificial sweeteners.
Just use something like monk, fruit or honey or real sugar imagine that.
Use a glass or stainless steel brewing equipment.
Avoid the plastic pods, that aluminum pods, the filters that can leech chemicals.
Add your salt, your minerals, methylinge blue and coming soon you'll be adding this.
So hope you got a little inspiration to maybe switch your coffee routine.
Oh and by the way, that almond milk loaded with oxalates because it's not just almonds that have oxalates when you are compressing it down into a milk, that's even more than having a handful of almonds.
Those oxalates getting jabbed into your thyroids, slowing your metabolism, causing brain fog.
And aren't we rinking our coffee to get rid of that brain frog and boost the metabolism so that almond milk is backfiring.
If you need a milk, I like organic cashew milk.
That would be my choice.
But see what you can do with something natural, organic and away from all of these ingredients we've talked about.
I don't want to get rid of my coffee routine.
I know you don't, so let's make it a healthy start to your day.
Thanks for tuning in today.
I hope you got some inspiration.
