Speaker 2

Absolutely, welcome back everybody to another episode of Tuned In with Jim Cummings.

I'm producer Chris.

We thought we'd do a little little year's summary for you guys out there and just do a little behind the scenes talking, you know, little uh little Yeah.

Speaker 3

If if we had greatest hits, these might be them.

Speaker 2

A little summary of what, especially if you like them, of what this last year on the podcast has been all about, both from our side and your side.

Speaker 1

Well, yeah, and you know, I think we had a really good year.

We had x amount when we started, folks regular subscribers, and now we have like dozens more.

Speaker 2

So we're really grateful for that.

Yeah, we really appreciate you guys for liking and subscribing and checking us out.

And it's interesting.

Before we get to this, we have a quick summary of just everybody that's been on the podcast.

It's a good year.

But it's interesting too how the different platforms show us different data of like you guys like who's downloaded, who's not, blah blah blah, and it's.

Speaker 3

Now who likes us more?

Speaker 2

That's one of us.

Speaker 3

YouTube or I.

Speaker 2

Think most people do listen to this.

We have a lot of viewers on YouTube, but I think a lot of people listen like when they're driving in the car.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Yeah, Well we've had folks tell us that.

Speaker 2

Yeah, And for me personally, that's you know, I listened to a lot of podcasts that went as well, yeah, that's true.

Well it makes sense, you know, yeah, all the time in the traffic, we don't.

Speaker 1

Have any commercials.

Excuse me now, pause, try this new No, I'm just kidding.

Well, yeah, it's a beautiful thing.

And we had a lot of really great people.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we sure did.

I'll read off the list of this one is the second probably.

We also recorded all over the place this year, not as much as last year, not as much as last year really, Yeah, because we were more on the road.

Well, we did more recording, but less locations because we were more settled into that studio.

That's true.

Yeah, but we did record in four five different cities this year, including La We were in Houston, we were in Las Vegas with Brad Garrett.

You remember.

That was a good one.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

That was a nice studio studios out there, and Brad was in it, yes, barely, he's such a tall guy.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's right.

Yes, his head was in the second story.

Speaker 2

And then we had that rooftop in San Diego outside Comic Kong that was dug that one.

Marty was there, Yeah, good old Marty Grabsteam.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was that was I like, I like it when we do like the on the road kind of travel about what would you guys think out there?

I don't I personally like it when podcasts do that, like when I'm viewing them, because I feel like it's almost like a little adventure that you go on as a viewer.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's like, oh, that's true.

Where are we going to be we're going today?

Yeah, that's right, that's cool.

Actually, yeah, we should go back to New Orleans then, because that's pretty dark.

Yeah, but Yeah, we were busy and we had a lot of really good people.

Speaker 2

And also the Bahamas obviously on the cruise ship shot that episode out there.

Speaker 3

That's right.

Yeah, hard to say where we.

Speaker 2

Were first international recording, right, Oh, no, we did win in Vancouver.

We did win Vancouver last year.

And what about not in Ireland though, No, not Ireland, we did.

Oh yeah, we were set up to do it, but we didn't have time.

We were going to do it with them, you and McGregor, right, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3

Yeah, he's been avoiding us and get over here, you knuckle ahead.

Speaker 2

Well that's the that's the difficulty about doing it on the road, right, The timing is so much more limited.

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and you have to dig up a place, you know, set up you know.

Speaker 3

That can be problematic a little bit.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's a logistics issue.

We usually get it handled though, it's if we don't get it on the road, we get it back in the studio in La which I love that is that was a new studio this year, that studio that we uh the most.

Yes, I like that one me too.

I like that.

I think that's been my favorite studio so far.

No, I agree, Yeah, and it's not far away.

But speaking of wish, let's get back to the subject.

I'm just going to read through the We had forty six, forty six guests this year.

I know you would think it's fifty two, but some of them were split in two, and then some of them we don't have guests on like this episode.

Yes, but these were These were all the guests.

I'm just going to rapid fire read through all forty six right now.

Fred's had Ashore Blake, Silva, Ben Prendergas, Cary Payton, excuse me, Pamela Adlon, Jenny McSwain, Corey Burton, Cassius Marsh, Walter, Emmanuel Jones, Maurice LaMarsh, Jim Meskaman, Michael Rosenbaum, Colleino Shaughnessy, Rolanda Watts, Townsend, Coleman, Daniel Ross, Kensington Tallman, Josh Keaton, Andrea Romano, Allen Tude, Brad Garrett, Susan Egan, Shawn Aston, Suzanne Blakeslee, April Winchell, Jeff Bennett, Tad Stones, Lorie Allen, Marty Grabstein, Andrea's Dejah de Dejah, Deja Deja, Butch Hartman, Donnie dun Again, Ryan Drummond, Roger Clark, Daniel Logan, Carolyna Ravasa, Jason Marston, Don Hahn, Alan Oppenheimer, Raven Simone, Efim Ramirez, and James Rallison.

That was our twenty twenty.

Pretty good.

That was a pretty good.

Wow, that was a pretty good one.

Speaker 1

I remember those we were there.

Wow, that's pretty good.

You guys having a good time.

Say yes, okay, good, thank you.

Speaker 2

And I thought this was interesting too.

The age span of all those people.

The youngest Kensington Tallman seventeen years old and the oldest Allan Oppenheimer.

Do you know how old he is?

Speaker 1

Oh eighty five, ninety one, ninety three, Allen Oppenheimer is ninety.

Speaker 2

Six, ninety five, oh Man, ninety five.

Speaker 3

Gosh he looks great.

Speaker 2

How crazy is that?

Speaker 3

Yeah?

God bless you, buddy.

Speaker 2

There's a seventy year span between the youngest guest and the oldest guest, which I thought was kind of interesting.

That's pretty interesting.

Shapes and sizes, yes.

Speaker 1

Yes, yeah, shape sizes, colors, genders, We annoy everyone, We shared, no expense or or anything like that.

Speaker 2

Now, the most watched, the most watched.

Now, this is where as I mentioned before, as I alluded to before, this is where the data gets interesting to me because YouTube views and what's listened to reflect very different things.

Number one most viewed, Who do you think it is?

On YouTube?

Speaker 3

Number one most viewed, most viewed, Uh from maybe.

Speaker 2

Tara Strong?

Tara Strong?

Speaker 1

No, okay, like I was saying, Okay, one more guess male or female?

Speaker 2

Male?

Speaker 3

Oh?

Okay, okay, al al alentti yes.

Speaker 2

Number one most viewed guess this year.

And that was a good one.

Speaker 3

I heard, was good.

Speaker 2

Very He was coincidentally also the highest viewed short that we had this year, which was apart from Baby Jack's I Think, Oh yeah, apart from Baby Jacks of course, yeah, you can't.

Speaker 3

Fight Baby Jacks, cannot fight the grandson.

Speaker 2

But it was him talking about how Will Smith wasn't was really to have him promoted for I Robot.

Mmmm, yeah, that's right.

Huh.

And yeah, he had a very You guys should tune into that one.

Yeah, you should check it out if you haven't seen it, and really cool.

He told us in person afterwards that he got in a little bit of trouble from his PR team for talking about that, So it was some juicy, some juicy gossip for you guys.

That's right, that's right, that you'll get nowhere else.

Speaker 3

You'll feel the difference.

Yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, Well, you know, we've had a few moments of great revelation this year, people revealing like there's a Marty Tutic joke in there somewhere.

No, Marty, I said, Marty, Marty grebsy uh, but yeah, we have some good stuff.

Speaker 2

Compare that, though, that was the most viewed.

Compare that to the most audibly downloaded podcast, which is most recently the episode we just did the other week, a Century of Poo, where we talked about the history of poo and the Life magazine that is the most downloaded audibly Is that Is that the right word loaded?

Speaker 3

Audio version?

Speaker 2

I guess audio download, audio download the yeah.

Wow.

And with April Winchell, Yeah, well that's really cool.

Yeah.

Speaker 1

I think it's nice because people get the fact that she's a legacy, you know, because her father was so astonishing and then she is so astonishing in her own right.

April Winchell, she's been my wife.

I think two times.

I think I said this.

I don't care, I'm gonna say it again.

Donald Okay, okay, April's played my wife in Bonkers and her name was Peg.

I was Lucky Piquel and she was Peg Piquel.

And then in Pete, I was Pete and she was my wife Peg.

And my wife's name is Margaret, her nickname is Peg.

There take that, Coe, Well, what do you think?

How about that?

Speaker 2

Yes?

Well, oh okay, that's a that's a phone out yonder.

Speaker 3

That's a phone.

You may be familiar with that sound.

Speaker 2

A phone out yonder.

Speaker 1

How many of you just got up and said, oh, wait a minute, where's my phone?

Speaker 3

Because you know you did?

Speaker 2

What do you think we're some of the most memorable moments of the podcast this year?

I have I have one, well I have more than one, but I'm going to start out with one.

Do you remember when Jeff Bennett was on and he was doing his impression of Adam West?

Oh, do you remember that?

Yes, I'm gonna put I'm gonna put the clip right here right now for you guys to watch if you haven't seen it.

But that literally was the hardest I think I've laughed in the entire of this.

Speaker 3

You might be right about that.

Speaker 2

That was hilarious.

Yeah, just and like, what who doesn't Adam West impersonation?

You know this?

Just you don't It's like it's such a weird impersonation, but everybody knows who Adam West is, you know, yeah, yeah, can you do some more Adam West?

That was so funny, had his own manager there with him.

Where will I sign?

Speaker 3

Just here?

Speaker 2

Okay, let's go do this.

Speaker 3

You know.

Speaker 2

I was like, I was like, Adam was a little bit like you have to be a little bit like.

Speaker 1

You Genus got your You're halfway on the toilet and you're you're still You're.

Speaker 2

Still trying, and eventually it works.

There you go, that's the secret.

I want to know how to do voices.

This is how you do voices.

That's right left on this show.

Toilet.

Oh chum.

Speaker 3

He's kind of like a version.

Speaker 2

Of yeah or like Christopher walking, like the inflection of his voice.

Yeah, I'm not even gonna try.

Speaker 1

It, but yeah, oh cho that's all I can think of.

That's that's Send in your Adam West impressions to us.

Folks will be reviewing them.

Speaker 2

And on the subject of impressions, do you remember jim Meskaman when he did his uh well he did Biden and yes, he did Biden.

Those were hilarious and a killer.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, the squinty face and it just looks like him even.

Yes, that that's the part that gets you.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you check him out, folks.

He's incredible.

We've had so many wonderful people.

Speaker 2

I know, the impression is crack me up.

I mean, we've had such a such a wide variety of people too.

I think that's why, you know, that's why I have really enjoyed this podcast, is so many.

You know, he's not just actors voice actors, you know, it's also historians or cartoonists or even an NFL player, you know.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah, that's right.

Our goal is.

Speaker 2

To get Marcel Marceau.

Speaker 1

Now I don't know how that would work on a podcast, I don't know, but uh, that would be.

We need a couple of mimes on here, maybe two mimes we can mine back and forth and just mind the whole.

Speaker 2

We did have a well sort of a mind.

Remember Ryan Drummond.

Remember he started as a mime.

That is true, as in the best mind, insane clown, a blue speedy clown.

Speaker 3

Yes, oh wow, yeah that's true.

Speaker 2

Huh oh man.

Yeah.

The impressions, the impressions, I know, it wasn't this last year, it was the year before, but even James Arnold Taylor.

I mean his impressions and how he goes through and does each of the impress.

Speaker 1

Yes, yeah, I mean how does he do that?

Yeah, and goes from one day and it's seamless.

It's really amazing.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's one of the most impressive.

I wish I could have seen, like the live act of it, you know, when he was doing his one man show.

He was all brushed out and everything like that.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I wish I could have seen.

Speaker 1

Well, I remember following him at a at a podcast and it was Chuck and Stacy's podcast and they had a sort of a year end wrap up and I and I told him, I said, yeah, I'm so glad you have me on there.

And I got to follow James Arnold Taylor.

So I felt like a mime, you know, coming after this guy.

He's got this thing.

If you'll check it out on YouTube, maybe we'll put a link in there or something.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Anyway, good stuff.

You gotta love it.

Speaker 2

But yeah, yeah, the impressionists, and I mean, oh, Rolanda Watts, I mean she's kind of like a jack of all trades, couldn't even does everything put her in a box.

Yeah, she does everything.

Yeah, that was a really interesting I wish she could have been in person.

That's that's one thing some of the people.

It's when they do it remotely.

Speaker 3

It's like, oh I wish, Yeah, it's a little better person.

Speaker 2

Yeah you can imagine, right, I think so, I think it just flows better and like you kind of you know, you get the micro expressions better.

It doesn't really come through the screen one hundred yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean it's still good, you know, still still yeah, at least that's an option these days, you know, yes, and we're glad you're tuning in.

I don't even know how you couldn't even get that done.

I mean fifteen twenty years ago, if you weren't in person, right, Oh, that's true, probably had like a like a telecast.

Yeah, they had like those old telecasts I remember where you have like a camera set up and the TV wheeled into the room.

You remember, Yeah, yeah, yes, like they used to have a school.

Speaker 1

Right right right, which would maje your day when you saw those because you knew it wasn't cool.

But it's but I digress.

Oh yeah, oh that's crazy.

So did you have your own personal favorite interview?

Speaker 2

I mean personal I think for me, my personal favorite I think was Raven Simone just because just because I was such a big fan of That's so Raven growing up.

Oh yeah, that it was like it probably was like the most surreal person for me to like be talking to because you know, so many of these people I know their voice or know their work, but like I wasn't like an avid consumer of it, you know what I mean, like, oh, yeah, I've seen this, I've seen that, you were a fan already, but it was like, that's so Raven was like right in like my formative years.

And you know, like as I understand that, you know, growing up by racial it was also you know like there wasn't really like a black kids TV show where like it was just like it was like that, Yeah, like a proud family was like those were like my shows.

Speaker 1

It was like, and uh, what was it.

Yeah, there's been a couple I know what you mean.

Yeah, so that was cool.

Speaker 2

You know.

I was the one with what was the family matters with Erkele.

It was family matters I think, so that caused obviously, Yeah, those were like those were before my time, you know what I mean, Like I saw the reruns and stuff like that.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's prince kind of but you know, it was kind of like the cast was a little older.

Yeah, you know, it wasn't like necessarily kids.

It was like they were a little older.

They were like older teenagers and stuff like that.

You know, Will Smith was right right right, you know, high school and stuff and they were driving around.

Maybe they were like middle school.

Speaker 3

You know, yeah that's true.

Speaker 2

Huh yeah, yeah, but yeah that was probably it for me.

What about you?

And she played you know, it's hard, it's hard.

James Arnold Taylor was way up there.

Yeah yeah, but that was that was the year before.

Speaker 3

That was the year before.

Speaker 2

Oh bloody hell.

Sean Aston was pretty cool.

Speaker 3

Sean was pretty cool because.

Speaker 2

You know, he is pretty cool.

Yeah yeah, he was a great guy.

Speaker 1

You know, I've known him for a long time and I think we touched on this.

But one of the cool things you have to know about Sean Aston is not I mean this is like really really rare.

I can think of him and uh and me, but not it's not quite the same because they used to feature me in the when Task was coming out.

Speaker 3

Of the Jungle.

Speaker 1

And all the animal giraffes and dolphins and everything.

They're all running running away from Taz and they once threw me into the run like an animated version, like an animated version of me.

They and I'm running up there at the very end of the way where in Tasmania.

Speaker 2

I want to see if I can find that clip.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, yeah, but it was the show Tasmania and in that one show and I can't think of the name of that particular episode, but but it was me.

And so I got to uh share that one honor with Sean because Sean and was it Animacs I think it was Animax.

He played Sean Aston, he played himself.

So I mean, but you know, it's a weird thing, I would think.

But but it is so interesting because you know, it's like you show up, who do who am I playing?

Speaker 2

Today?

Speaker 3

You're playing?

Speaker 2

You?

Speaker 3

Wait what?

And then what do you do?

Speaker 2

Well you've said before that that's kind of difficult for you.

Speaker 1

Yeah, right, yeah, yeah, it is, it is.

Yeah, well, I you know it's you.

Especially from my angle of the business, it's, uh, you can't do any acting if you're acting normal, if you're acting like your awn boring self, you know, but you give me a crazy character and I can something I can sink my teeth into.

Speaker 3

Then it's not not that hard.

You kind of can just get into it.

Speaker 2

And that's where like the artistry comes in as well.

Speaker 1

You know, yeah, I think, yeah, yeah, but it you know, I don't even have to I have to think a lot if I was being me, yeah, and if I'm being a character, I never think.

Speaker 3

I don't think.

See what I did?

Speaker 2

That reminds me.

I was having a conversation with a friend the other day and we were talking about performances, like acting performances when you're on set versus what shows up in the movie.

And I swear there's been times where I've been on set and I see somebody like they're acting their ass off.

You know, it's like, oh my god, that person can act.

And then you'll see another person and there they're so you know, like it seems like they're stoic and stiff and everything.

And then when you see the cut version, it's like the person who was, you know, a great actor on set, it doesn't really translate.

And I'm not saying this is every time.

It's just interesting how sometimes it works out.

And then the person who was stoic it's like, oh, that little twitch in their eye, like that was at the perfect moment, and like, you know, in a in accordance with the with the score and and the editing and everything, it's like, oh, that's a great performance.

Do you Sometimes less is more?

Yeah?

Do you find any of that in like voice acting sometimes where it's like maybe somebody's going crazy in the audio booth, and then it's like, oh that doesn't really match.

Oh that really works.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Well, you know a lot of times, especially like with dark Wing, he people would always expect him to make some big speech, you know, about how he's going to vanquish now, what he's going to do, and I cannot.

Speaker 3

Think of who it was.

Might have been Kenny Mars, but he was the villain.

I'm going to do this, and I going to get you a dog.

Speaker 1

Ring dog, okay, and.

Speaker 2

And then that was it.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you know, and and and because he was expecting like this big diatribe that I'm going to come back and get you and all this stuff.

So sometimes less is more, Yeah, you know, it pops it.

You know, it just gives you something to hang your hat on and get out of town.

And and then people wait, oh that was funny, you know, it catches.

Speaker 2

Up to you.

I like that kind of humor.

Yeah, you know, it's very subtitle.

Yeah, I think it's I think this is kind of off topic, but I just think as like when you first get into acting or performing, I think that can be a big trap.

You know, people want to be like so big and out there.

It's like almost like you have to hone in like your skills and your techniques to be able to bring it back down to like a believable.

Speaker 3

Did you have trouble with that when you first started?

Speaker 2

Not really, no, because I remember I actually remember the blooper reel of Liar Liar, and I remember Jim Carrey.

There's this blueper reel and they're in the courtroom scene and he's like yelling out one of his lines and as like a practical joke, his co star just instead of saying her line back to him, she just goes overactor.

And it just broke everybody on set right then.

And I remember being so young and seeing that and being like, what's an overactor?

Like, yeah, it didn't really clock to me, you know.

I was like, well, I don't even know what that is.

And then you know, I asked my dad.

He explained it to me, and I always notice overacting, like I always notice it to this day when I'm watching something.

It turns me so far, Like if I see overacting, I'm.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you're going, yeah, okay, calm.

Speaker 2

Down, Yeah yeah, no more coffee for you.

And it's I mean, you know, obviously, being a theater major, have seen my fair share of amateur productions, you know, and it's rife.

It's right, an amateur theater.

It's ye.

Everybody's trying to show you they're an actor, trying to eat the scenery.

You're on stage.

We know you're an actor.

Speaker 1

You can just say you can say, right, oh that's so true.

Yeah, but it's a lot of fun to see people do that and just go down in flames, and then then you have a whole new element to the entertainment factor.

Speaker 2

Yeah yeah, what else this year?

Though there was some good moments, there was was there any awkward moments?

Is there any uncomfortable moments?

I'm trying to think I have one?

I have one.

Pamela Adlon showed up.

Oh yes, she didn't know that it was on camera, and I remember the look on her face as she sees the cameras in her this is on camera.

Oh yeah.

I was like, oh yeah, and I swear that we let her know we always send we always send the same email on camera call time, blah blah blah.

And she was like, oh, I'm going to run back out to my car and grab a hat.

She runs back out and if you watch, you can see the hat that she's wearing because she didn't know that.

Speaker 1

And she's pretty is a picture, Yeah, of course, I mean, come on, come on, pammy.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

I think women are a lot more self conscious about that kind of thing though.

On camera.

Oh guys like me, you know, if my hair is not just I have pretty long hair right now, growing it out, but I just throw on a hat, you know, like she did.

There you go perfect.

Good, me too, my hair is a mess.

And then she looked at the lights too, and she was like, oh those those lights are really bright.

And then she's like, I'm sorry, it's the director would be coming out.

Yeah, okay, all right, all right.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, Well she's an accomplished director.

Yeah she sure, she's accomplished period.

Yeah, she can she knows her stuff.

You can tell just by the way she talks.

Speaker 2

Some people I've known her for a long time, fire things off and it's like, oh.

Speaker 1

Wow, yeah, yeah, she's the best.

Yeah, thank you for that, my dear, thank you, Pam lad.

Speaker 2

And honestly, before doing the research on for her on that episode, I didn't know that she was the voice of Bobby and King of the Hill.

Oh yeah, huh, I didn't even know that.

It's funny how they always get the women to play the kids.

Speaker 1

Right, well, the young boys, because their voice won't change if the show goes on to three or four years, they still have they can still do that voice.

Yeah yeah, whereas boys they go from a period of well yeah, okay.

When we first started doing Pooh, I think I've said this before, but we went through every year and a half, we'd go through a Christopher Robin.

Yeah, because they would use a young boy.

Speaker 3

Yeah, and then he did it in the high school and he wasn't Christopher Robin anymore.

Speaker 2

That'd be kind of weird.

Weird though, like thinking about Christopher Robin as being played by a woman.

You know, he's like because Christopher Robin is so much he's such a human cartoon character, you know what I mean.

Sure, Yeah, Like there's not many cartoon characters that are just like depicted as just like an innocent human being.

You know, I'm I'm trying to think about it right now, and like the closest like even like a Charlie Brown, like Timmy Turner from Fairly Odd Parents.

You know, he's still like a wacky kid, you know, he's not just like yeah, you know, just like an innocent Yeah.

I'm trying to think, what's like a cartoon Johnny Bravo obviously not, He's he's a character.

Speaker 3

Oh yeah, well I think.

Speaker 2

No, I think Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown.

Yeah, that's a good one.

Charlie Brown is a good one.

Speaker 3

Oh that gang, all of those kids.

Yeah, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 2

Yeah, let us know who's some normal human cartoons.

Speaker 1

And what a big failure.

They would be I'm sure, what's all this normalcy?

Speaker 2

Just a regular old human being.

Let's see who else.

This was the top ten.

Let's go over the top ten.

This was the top ten.

We've mentioned some of them.

This was the top ten most viewed on YouTube for twenty twenty five.

Number one, Alan Tudic two, Pamela Adline three, Andrea Romano, which was another great one.

I thought, yeah, we need to have her back on.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I think what she's got more to say?

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, there was no doubt.

That was a great episode.

Yeah.

I can't believe she's done over ten thousand sessions voice sessions.

Speaker 1

Yeah, boy, so she Yeah, she was the first voice director I ever saw.

Yeah, wherever met So, yeah, she was the very first, and and it was just it was crazy, you know, she did.

I took her and I took her course too with her and Sue Blue and I got out of that and I did rather well, and they said okay, this and that and the other thing.

And I was thinking, wait, they're casting directors.

They'll call me right away.

And no, that didn't quite work out that way.

But like six months later I got a gig and I was over at Hanna Barberas.

Speaker 2

So I felt good about that.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and I was working for her and uh then subsequent to that, I worked for her about five hundred thousand times now probably maybe a thousand.

Speaker 3

Yeah, so you know, an actual thousand.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1

So it's very cool, wid and you're invited to tune into each one of them.

Speaker 2

And then the next after after Andrea Romana was Corey Burton.

Corey Burton cracked me up.

I didn't know he did the voices at Disneyland either.

He did?

What did he do?

He does the Oh when you get on the train, the train, that's right.

Speaker 3

He's sure to keep your heads inside the card.

Speaker 2

You know, he's got that guy's voice.

You hear him a cigarette right while he was recording that.

Speaker 1

Yes, yeah, and uh and yeah, he's amazing.

He's an amazing guy.

And he was a gruffy gummy and who else just tons of characters he's I can't think of the Darth Sidius.

Speaker 2

Is he in?

I'm not sure off the top of my head on that one.

Can't either.

Speaker 3

I think it was a Sith warrior.

He was a bad guy.

He gives a good bad guy.

Speaker 1

Yeah, But like I said, it was Gummy Bear and he was Chip Chippindale Rescue Rangers.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was a good episode too.

He's he has some good stories.

Yeah yeah, and interesting guy.

That's another person I wish could have been in person.

But as it goes, Yes, just LEVI.

Number five, I'm just going to do the top actually, yeah, I'm just going to rattle these.

Jeff Bennett, who we've talked about obviously, hilarious.

Jeff Bennett was number five.

Number six Maurice LaMarsh.

That was early in the year, early in the year.

Speaker 3

Great guy.

Speaker 2

Need to have him back.

He's a funny guy.

Yeah, he sure is.

He's a really funny guy.

Number seven Ryan Drummond, which surprised me.

There's a lot of Sonic fans out there.

There's a lot of song fans out there.

There really are.

Josh Keaton, which I want to give them.

Thank you to Josh Keaton for doing one of the voiceover of iron Man.

This video game that I've been playing a lot this last year was Marvel Rivals and helices iron Man in it.

Speaker 3

Oh, he's iron Man in it.

Oh I didn't know that.

Speaker 2

Oh that he does a great job.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you're always playing that that's amazing.

Speaker 2

It must be good.

It is, it is.

Speaker 3

We got some good people.

Speaker 2

We've had a lot of We've had a lot of voice actors that voice characters.

Fred Tattershore is another one.

He voices the Hulk that game.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I've heard him do the Hulk.

Speaker 1

I was thinking, man, I'm glad I didn't get that gig Sonat.

Speaker 3

I was like, Yeahaz is bad enough, but.

Speaker 2

Like, okay, Colleino Shaughnessy played Mantis in that game.

I'm trying to get some more people from that game.

I'm trying to get some more people.

There's a lot of really talented voice actors on that on that cast, I guess you would call it where did I leave off?

Ryan Drummond was number seven, eight, Josh Keaton, number nine, Seawan Aston and number ten Daniel Ross Daniels.

Speaker 3

Yes.

Speaker 2

And then compared to the top five that are downloaded audibly if that's a word again, Number one was the Sentry with Pooh, tied with April Winchell.

Number two Roger Clark.

I love Roger Clark.

That's another one I wish we could have had in person, but he's he's over the pond right or yeah, he's somewhat.

I think he splits time across the sea and then yeah, he's like in yeah, the south or something, I don't know, somewhere with some we're not here.

Yeah, some we're not here.

Yeah, but he's great.

And he said he was what he's building a PC with his son.

If I remember correctly, he's doing stuff really creative.

He's like building a PC with his son, I want to say, because they're trying to get more into like the gaming aspect of it.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's I can't imagine that.

I don't know how do you.

Speaker 1

I wouldn't you know, Etcher sketches kicked my ass, you know, I can't imagine how you would go about doing that.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I guess.

There's a lot of tutorials online, and I've heard people say it's like, actually a pretty fun hobby.

It's almost like upgraded legos, like to simplify it in the don't come after me in the comments.

I know it's not that easy.

Oh yeah, yeah, it's easy, but to simplify it, you know, and there's a bunch of guides and stuff like that, But I don't know, it sounds daunting to me.

Yeah, no kidding.

Sounds impossible to me.

Yeah, I could see it.

Sounds like time to hire someone to me.

And then after that that, Roger Clark was number two most downloaded.

After that, number three was a three ways high between No, A four ways tie.

Tad Stones, Jeff Bennett, Brad Garrett and Lori Allen.

Wow, they're all heavy hitters.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I mean incredible, And what a great time we had at Brad's place.

Speaker 2

I know, Yeah, that was that was cool out.

Speaker 1

There, unbelievable, had the most talented comics.

And if you guys make it to Las Vegas, you gotta go see Brad's place.

Speaker 2

Yeah, Brad Garri's Comedy Club.

Speaker 1

It's amazing.

It is killer and tell him we sent you and uh and then who else?

Roger Clark, No, Tad Stones.

Speaker 2

Tad Stones the father of dark Wing Duck, the father of Darkwing Duck.

That's you can tell he was a really smart guy.

Yeah, yeah, you can tell his interview he really like Yeah, thor him and he's done it a lot.

Yeah, he's there a double load.

He reminds me.

Tadstones and Andreas Deja had very similar like energies to me as far as how knowledgeable they are in their craft, and they convey it so succinctly, you know, like what they're trying to say.

I always have this problem saying like like um um yeah, yeah, and they're just straight to the point, yeah, with the yeah terminology right there, locked in and.

Speaker 3

Yeah, well they've both been doing it for a while, you know, really it really helps.

Speaker 1

And yeah, and you know what it is too, is you get their passion.

You know, they're they're passionate about it.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 1

I've seen Tad at any number of conventions and he'll he'll give a seminar or a little speech or two here and there, and people come up to him all day long, and he puts his heart and soul into every sketch.

Yeah, and everyone is you know, on model, which is a thing.

You have to be on model, and that means it's ready to be aired, it's ready to be you know, linked with all the other eighteen thousand pictures that are drawn.

You know, to make a cartoon has to be on model.

And he's on model every time.

And uh and it shows and it and it shows in in the product and we're still talking about dark Wing all these years later.

Speaker 2

Yeah, So it we'll.

Speaker 3

Be talking about more coming soon.

So yeah, one.

Speaker 2

Of my favorite things about this well just the podcast in general, but this past year specifically, this past year is kind of like the not the recognition, but like the the camaraderie, like in the green room when we when I get to travel with you too, conventions and stuff, and oh yeah, I think there was we were in I'm pretty sure we were in Denver when oh gosh, Tom Kenny and Grade Delisle they played in their band.

They played up on stage.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, over those of you were great didn't know Tom Kenny's in a band and Great Delile is a singer as well, and they performed at this convention.

At the end of the convention, they performed a couple songs and that's where we first saw effrom play the play the harmonica.

They got up on stage and played the harmonica.

That's right, yeah, yeah, well, very well, yes, very well.

And if you don't believe us, go check out the episode with Ramirez.

Yes, who played Pedro Napoleon Dynamite.

He is a phenomenal, unbelievable harmonica player, Like it actually gives me the chills thinking about it.

He's so good it's hilarious.

Speaker 3

Well that's so true.

I've forgotten about that.

Speaker 2

Yeah, but at that convention in Denver, I was just gonna say, one of my favorite things about this past year with the podcast was in that green room.

I remember counting seventeen people that had been had been on the podcast, right, and then it just makes it feel like because sometimes you know how green rooms can feel like kind of cold and distant, you know, people don't really talk to each other's part, I felt like it made it like where everybody's excited to be around, you know, kind of like talking to each other and yeah, something in and even yeah, it makes me a lot more comfortable, you know, around people.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so that you could well basically like being on a first name basis with all of them.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah, I mean it is.

Speaker 2

It is on being on a first name basis, and then that leads to more opportunities to get other people on and people are curious and again I truly like, I truly mean this, it's all because of you guys.

Watching All of this happens starting with you guys.

If nobody watches, then none of this happens, right, So just really want to say thank you you know, this year has been great because of you guys watching Amen and listen, and do we dare delve into.

Speaker 1

The fact that we found out of a few people out there who are tuning into the podcast that you would never think of.

Speaker 2

Or they were, Yeah, kind.

Speaker 1

Of on the really famous side, I mean really famous side.

Speaker 2

Yeah, why don't you let them know?

Speaker 3

Well, where should we start?

Speaker 1

I want to save the big guy for last, because that just boggles my mind.

Speaker 4

But yeah, we do we have a list.

I don't think we have We don't have a list printed, but maybe ye can here we go?

Can you can you read us some uh, some people that listen to the podcast.
