Hold on.

You're so uncoordinated.

Wow.

Okay.

I will have a little sip since I'm way behind.

This is stuff I've been drinking all week.

This is from Vaudeville.

This is the Libertine wines from the Dion vineyard in Willamette Valley.

Oh, Willamette Valley is one of our favorites.

Yes, but it has kind of a gruesome label on it.

Yes, it does.

Like a skull with a knife.

It's not a very happy label.

No, not at all.

It says Libertine Wines.

Yeah, I did a little pre-gaming.

You did no pre-gaming.

You gamed.

You gamed and then showed up here like, do we really have to do a show?

I've had three full glasses of rosé, and I'm like, do we have to do a show?

I'm ready to go to sleep.

I cannot day drink.

You can't drink at all.

What do you mean?

You've become a complete lightweight.

You're no good.

You're no good at it.

Yeah.

So Tina had a special birthday celebration today, which was put together by Andrea at her house.

Yes, she is.

It started at 1230.

Yes.

I had to drive you.

You drove us because I was like, I'm going to be drinking.

I'm not driving.

Annette drove with us and she didn't want to drive.

So we're like, Adam, can you be our Uber driver?

And you said, yeah, of course.

Of course I'll be your Uber driver, baby.

Yeah.

And then I got a call.

I got 415.

Be there.

Be there at 415.

I'm like, I want to get five stars.

And then it's like, come on in.

Have a glass of wine.

Have a glass of wine.

Sit with the ladies.

Have some crackers and cheese.

I'm like.

I'm like, she just wants to feed you like immediately.

Sit down.

Can I just give you just a little bit of crackers?

I'm like, just a cracker and some cheese.

Good.

Whole charcuterie board shows up.

The whole board in front of me.

She pours you a glass of wine.

But last night, yesterday, I'm looking at your phone.

I see this big red heart and I go, who is sending you a big red heart?

You go, do you really want to know?

I go, yes.

You go, Andrea.

And I go, okay.

I knew it was something to do with the birthday celebration today.

She had texted me.

She said, here's what I have planned for the Dutch birthday chair.

Because the Dutch celebration is we decorate the chair early in the morning, typically, with balloons and all kinds of stuff.

She said, here's what I'm doing.

And I said, Andrea, knowing you, this is going to be more than fine.

So, yes, it was the heart.

It was there was six of us, including myself.

And it was just people that I love being around.

Of course, Annette had to be there.

And Brandy, of course, had to be there.

Andrea hosted it.

She's just her spiritual gift is definitely hospitality.

She just she goes above and beyond.

And my friend Candy and Dawn were there.

And I just felt so loved.

I felt so loved.

And I wore my new dress and I felt very pretty.

And it was a fun, fun, fun afternoon.

It was good.

And you got like two candles that are longer than javelins.

Oh my gosh, yes.

I got some really precious gifts from everybody.

And it was just, you know, more than anything, you know, my love language is words of affirmation.

So I love the cards more than anything.

And it was just, yeah.

And you know what?

I'm not used to being celebrated.

I'm used to celebrating other people.

This morning you said, you know, I don't feel comfortable.

I don't feel comfortable like people making a fuss about me.

I said, what do you mean?

I know.

I just, I'm usually the one that celebrates other people.

And if you drop the hint one more time, like I've never had a surprise birthday.

Have you ever had a surprise birthday?

I've never had a surprise birthday.

Never, ever had a surprise birthday party.

And I'm like, okay, I give up.

I don't want to do it for your 65th.

No, I don't want that.

I really don't want one.

I don't.

It's not the same when you say, when you.

I just hope that I can get enough people alive when you're 65.

You never know.

How many people are left to come join the party?

I'm not going to say another word about it ever again.

No, it's not necessary.

You don't have to do that.

But, yeah, so the birthday festivities have begun.

Festivities?

Yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I'm tripping over my tongue.

Everybody likes Tipsy Tina.

And I had cake for dinner, too.

Oh, my God.

I mean, you must be jacked, man.

I'm checked on sugar, man.

Are you doing a Bill Gates yet?

I'm good.

Like, really?

We have to do this show, really?

I can see you.

It was kind of fun coming in, even though I really thought I'd just be picking you up like an Uber driver.

Like, I hadn't planned.

You know, we come home like, I know you're on your phone, but can you help me unpack the car?

I'm like, I hadn't really planned that another hour of sitting, drinking, and hanging out.

But it was really nice.

Did you not like it?

That's what I'm saying.

It was really nice.

Yeah.

But it was fun to come in.

Everyone's kind of a little bit happy.

Yes.

We're all happy.

Everyone's a little bit happy.

Andrea's super happy.

Yes.

And she's like, I'm going to make you this.

I'm going to make you some cheese.

She loves you.

She loves you.

Yeah.

It was nice to meet Candy.

I thought I had met her somewhere.

Hadn't I met her officially?

Yes.

You met her at...

Maybe not.

I don't know that you have, actually.

I don't know.

But Andrea made lamb chops.

They were lamb chops?

Veal chops.

Veal chops.

Ah, lamb veal.

Oh, my gosh.

It all went bad.

She's an amazing cook.

But it was such a lovely, lovely afternoon.

And I just, I felt so loved.

You are a love, girl.

I felt so loved.

So, yes, it's the start.

Yes.

And it continues next week when we're off to New York.

Yes.

Now, we leave on Wednesday.

So, we got to, maybe we'll do a show Wednesday night when we get back to the hotel room.

Because you'll have to set up your, because you're doing the show for New York next week.

Oh, I can bring the gear.

Yeah, we can do it.

Yeah, we can come back Wednesday night and do it.

What time do we get in?

I don't know.

And what are we doing?

Do we have dinner?

No, we have no definite plans on Wednesday, but we will see at least when we get there.

Okay.

Well, we'll see.

Yeah.

So there may or may not be a show from New York.

Yes, there may or may not be a show.

But I will bring the gear just in case.

Well, you have to because you're doing no agenda.

No, I mean extra gear, like your gear.

Oh, my.

Like your headphones.

Well, you'll only hear me.

We started the show, too.

He's like, I only hear you.

I don't hear me.

I'm like, huh?

Yeah, so we leave for New York next week.

And then on Friday, we have dinner plans with Elise and her friend and us.

Is Mackenzie coming?

Mackenzie's going Thursday.

We're going to see Mackenzie on Thursday night.

And then we are going, I don't know where we're going.

We're going to Ralph Lauren's restaurant?

I'm not supposed to know.

I'm not supposed to tell you anything.

We don't know yet.

I don't know anything, but there will be a reservation and everything is taken care of.

I've been in contact with the child.

Yes, yes, yes.

And I told you, you don't have to buy me a gift.

I said you need to write me a love letter.

Yes, that will be there.

Yes, yes.

What?

Just kidding.

I would never write you a Chad GPT love letter.

You will be able to tell.

You know that.

I was just kidding.

Grok.

grok write me a love letter what is the the uh the uh app that uh pastor jimmy and annette use not perplexity what's it called yeah perplexity perplexity you're gonna go on that say a couple times perplexity wow man wow man you're hammered dude no i'm not hammered i'm not i'm sugar i'm overloaded with sugar i think it's perplexity um anthropic perplexity but yes i told you you don't have to buy me a birthday gift because we exchanged my car on Saturday.

Yes.

I exchanged my car.

Yeah.

Yes.

There were certain things about my car that I bought that I didn't like.

So I exchanged it.

To be honest.

I didn't trade it in.

I exchanged it.

That downshifting was not quite, that was.

Right.

It clunked.

There was something wrong with it.

So I bought a used car.

It was just one year old.

And then when it was downshifting, it has nine gears.

And when it was downshifting, it would clunk.

And I was like, oh, maybe that's just the car.

And you're like, yeah, that's just kind of what happened.

Until we got to the dealer and it did a big, I hadn't felt that down.

I know that's not right.

So we didn't tell anybody like, here it is.

We're here to switch it out.

And they basically exchanged it for me.

And they gave back all your extra warranty.

They had sold you when I wasn't there.

I bought all the extra accoutrements.

I'm like, no, no, no.

No, Adam Curry, that is not true because I called you on the phone.

I said, what should I get?

You're like, get it all.

I'm like, okay.

I know.

And then I'm like, holy smokes, this is a lot of money.

If I'd been there, I would have been like, what is this?

And then, oh, okay.

Anyway, it all worked out.

The guy who sold me the car, he's like, you don't need any of that.

Do not get any of that.

Except he didn't say that the first time.

No, he did.

And that was with me.

And he said, the only thing you need is the wheel and tire package.

Do not, you don't need anything else.

And so then when the finance guy presents it to me, because we know that's where all the money is.

That's the little upsell room.

Yes.

And I called you and you're like, just get it all.

I'm like, okay.

Anyway, it all worked.

So that was your fault.

It all worked out.

We got it all back.

It all worked out.

It's a beautiful car.

Her name is Grace.

I got her wet.

I got her all wet today.

You got her wet and dirty.

I got her wet and dirty today.

Yes.

We're driving there.

I'm driving around the puddles.

I'm like, drive around the puddles.

Don't splash the car.

Oh, please.

Oh, please.

Anyway, we've had a, but it's been a very busy week since last Wednesday.

We've done a lot of different things.

We've had several dinners.

Yes.

I mean, you want to go back in sequence?

Because it's, first of all, it's been wet?

No, it has not been wet.

Today?

Today it has.

But you know what?

It has not really broken 90 degrees here.

Well, that's what I mean.

It hasn't gotten really hot.

That's incredible.

Because remember two summers ago, it was 100 degrees.

Over 100.

Over 100.

60 straight days.

And we've had a pretty mild summer.

Like, praise God for climate change.

Right?

Yeah.

We'll have beachfront property once that sea level rises.

The fish are going to be flopping on the sidewalks.

Flopping on the streets of Fred.

That's right.

Main Street.

We've got free fish.

Can't wait.

Okay, Al Gore.

Wow.

All right.

You need to drink more often.

I listen to No Agenda.

You do.

You do.

So, yes.

Now, going back last week, we went to El Quincho, which was the rebel catering.

Max and Marissa's.

Which is something, if you're in, this is a hidden gem for Fredericksburg.

as we, you know, we still like to tell people about little gems.

Yes.

They have a tapas.

Is it almost, is it Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday?

No, I think it's Friday and Saturday.

What's the name of it again?

El Quincho.

How do you spell that?

L-E-L-Q-U-I-N-C-H-O.

Quincho, yeah.

El Quincho.

It's outdoor, but it has a roof.

And they got a lot of flies, though.

Well, but they had the table fans.

Yeah, flies are annoying.

Come on, man.

Help these people out.

The food was fantastic.

One fly, maybe.

So we got the chicken liver pate, and I'm like, oh, Annette, you need to try.

This is so good.

So she tries, and she's like, I need to get this taste out of my mouth.

We're like, this woman needs bread and butter stat.

She did not like it.

I said, can you please get me some bread, extra bread, and some butter?

And I went, butter?

Yeah, just bring the butter, will you please?

But what happened is just before about getting ready to leave, we hear that one of our Bridge Church family members, Todd, has a massive stroke.

Yes.

And we're praying here at home for him.

Jimmy and Annette, Pastor Jimmy and Annette, went to the hospital, to the ER to pray over him.

Yes, yes.

And he like had lost his vision.

Right side of his whole body was numb, you know, immobile.

We're praying at the table.

and this man makes a full recovery within 36 hours.

The miracle, God's miracle.

I'm not kidding you.

Yes.

So when Jimmy and Annette saw him, Pastor Jimmy and Annette saw him in the hospital, he couldn't see and he was paralyzed on one side.

I think the stroke was on his right.

Yeah, so the paralyzation.

No, the clot was on his right side, so the paralyzation was on the opposite side.

And so they were getting ready to administer a shot to dissolve the clot.

TMK?

I don't remember.

And so they gave him the shot and he miraculously recovered.

It was just, I mean, he has no residual issues at all.

And just the fact that he was so close to the hospital that the responders acted so quickly, got him to the hospital.

I mean, between that and watching our friend, our other friend who got thrown from the horse.

Yes.

Who, I mean, praise God, miracles.

We saw two miracles.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And he is doing well.

We prayed for Debbie today, too, because she's got a lot on her heart.

She's now she's, you know, he's still in the hospital.

Yeah, he definitely has to have his heart checked.

Because they're checking out his heart and everything.

And, you know, and she, we're praying for strength and grace and mercy for her so that she can withstand the storm to be strong for her husband.

But, yeah, that was, so, yeah, when we went to El Quincho Friday night, this was all happening.

It was a bit of a, well, I don't, a downer.

You know, everyone, I think everyone was kind of realized.

It was more solemn.

I'm like, wow, this can happen to any of us, can happen at any moment.

You know it just like you were shaken by it I was Well because what had happened for me You were like if Adam dies what am I going to do Where are the Bitcoin keys What's the password to his phone?

Exactly.

But no, no, all kidding aside.

So two things had happened.

So I found out that one of my best friends in high school, who I have not had contact with for over 40 years, she had passed away.

My sister had told me.

And that really affected me.

And I was talking to Annette about that today.

And I said, she said, do you think it's the mortality part of it?

And I said, probably.

I can't.

I'm surprised at how much that, and I don't even think I've shared this with you, how much that just has weighed heavy on my heart.

I kept going and reading her obituary.

I watched the video that the family put together.

I put a note on the, I did a message on her.

Facebook?

No, it was on the obituary.

You can write a message and I'm still affected by it.

And then that coupled with what happened with Todd and I just, it was, it was in, I was in it.

Like I was upset about all of it.

And then seeing, you know, the miracle with God, that was just so grateful.

I mean, he had, it was, it was categorized as a massive stroke, not just a little mini stroke, a massive stroke.

and 36 hours completely recovered.

Healed.

That's pretty amazing.

So many people came together and just prayed for him.

We were all praying for him.

Yeah, so we just wish him, you know, just to be completely restored and healthy.

He's such a nice guy.

He is so.

He's just a super nice guy.

He is so.

Calm, quiet, you know, doesn't look like your typical stroke possible victim at all.

He is so Christ-like too.

Like Christ is in the center of his life and his marriage.

So, yeah.

So that happened before we went to El Quincho on Friday night.

Anyway, tapas were amazing.

The empanadas were phenomenal.

Yeah.

I thought the chicken liver pate was amazing.

It was really good.

Not so much.

Jimmy liked it though.

Pastor Jimmy liked it.

Yeah.

He was also affected.

I could tell he was affected by Todd.

How could you not be?

Right.

But I haven't seen him quite.

I don't know what I could just tell.

Oh, man, you're effective.

Yeah, that was kind of a tough one.

But what I love about our pastors is they drop everything.

They were recording their show.

Yes.

They're like, okay, end the show.

And like first responders, right over there, they're praying in the waiting room.

They're praying in the ER.

They're praying over the nurses.

That's your pastor right there.

I mean, if you think about God's hand in all of this, the fact that he was so close to the hospital.

So close.

I mean, they were, I less than, maybe less than a mile away from the hospital.

The first responders getting there, him getting to the hospital in time in order to administer this shot.

Pastor Jimmy and Annette coming, you know, right there to pray over him.

It was just one miracle after another.

It was perfect.

Yes.

So we are definitely continuing to pray for him.

So then Saturday we had our little dates.

We had our date date.

We went and exchanged my car.

Exchange your car.

Got me some shirts.

We got you some shirts.

Which I immediately spotted two days later.

Yes, what's up with that, man?

I don't know.

Yeah.

Can't help it.

I just, I'm like, I just feel defeated.

It was Annette's cooking.

We'll get to that.

I feel defeated.

I'm like, really?

I love Untuck It.

What a great system for guys like me.

You just, you know, just, okay, this is my size.

You have my size.

I'm in the computer.

This one, this one, this one, this one.

That's good.

Perfect.

Thank you very much.

Bye.

See you later.

See you next time.

We were done so soon.

our reservation for for lunch which was at 4 30 it was two o'clock yeah and we were like i'm not sticking around here but no we we walk into before we go to untuck it we go to hugo boss and you try on a couple shirts and there's some slim fits and you try them out you go i'm not slim fit no i need dad dad bod fit it's like i look a little lumpy in this when i met you you were all slim fit now you're like your regular size yeah you're regular yeah okay thank you no Regular is good.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm still 42 long.

41 long?

42.

I don't know.

42 long.

I don't know.

But we had a nice, we had a nice Saturday.

It was nice.

Yeah.

Early dinner.

And then we came back home.

And then I, what'd I do?

Went straight to prep probably.

Yeah.

You went straight to prep.

You know what though?

Shopping with you, not a relaxing thing.

What are you talking about?

I'm fantastic.

No.

What do you mean?

I'm like, wait, let's go.

Let's take, you, you went in the dressing room.

It's a girl consensus thing.

You just, with husbands, it's just, we feel rushed.

I was on the phone with my nephew.

We feel rushed.

We feel rushed.

Now, that's all on you, bro.

Because I was completely, I'm chill.

I got a cappuccino.

I'm easy.

I'm like, okay, I'm sitting in the chair.

You're like, what do you think of this?

I said, no, take it off.

That's no good.

Get another side.

You come out and say, that's fantastic.

Which is the dress you were wearing today.

Yes.

And this is the dress.

I was totally your guy.

I was doing everything you wanted.

And yet still no good.

You felt rushed.

You know, shopping is with girlfriends and not with husbands.

This is horse bull crap.

Just give me your credit card.

I was talking to Annette about it too.

And she's like, yeah, you know, I go shopping with Jimmy and he's like sitting outside waiting.

And we feel rushed.

We feel pressure.

It was perfect.

I wanted to go to other stores.

I was worried about him.

Why don't you just say I want to go to the other stores?

Because I was feeling a vibe.

We had two hours.

I was feeling a vibe.

I was completely good.

Your vibe is in your head.

So you robbed me of a perfectly good shopping experience?

I was good.

I love going.

I talk to the sales ladies.

I try and scam champagne out of them.

Like, hey, I'm sitting here.

Got anything to drink?

Yeah, got any champagne?

Come on.

I'm the guy for this.

I think it was because you had your new car in the parking lot.

You were worried someone was going to open their door on it.

Hey, I'm going to park.

Excuse me.

We have to walk.

We had to take a shuttle bus.

from where you parked with your new car to get to the Nordstrom.

I know, right?

I'm like, please excuse me, but I'm parking a football field away.

Oh, my Lord.

And then we come out and there's a car parked right next to me.

Oh, the horrors of it all.

A car is parked next to me.

Pastor Jimmy knows exactly what I'm talking about because he's the same way.

Come on, people.

But yeah, I think, I just, I don't know.

I don't really want to, I don't want to take your time up.

so i didn't go to half the stores you are robbing me of my experience just so you know okay when i'm committed to go shopping with you i'm all in okay and i was like well if that's it and you're like well the reservation i'm like we can go to what a burger but we actually wound up going to um the nice mexican restaurant in comfort yeah and down the street we had a nice meal it was fun i think there were flies in there though too i think there was fly in my food but it was crunch extra crunchy it was good why are there so many flies in restaurants drives me crazy because there's food no it drives me because you're living in texas man why don't they have like fly strips up oh that's cute that that looks really good a bunch of dead flies hanging over you no you don't want that it wasn't all that anyway it was a nice day it was a nice day uh being with you and i like hanging out with you oh okay even though you feel pressured and rushed i'm thinking about you i'm thinking about you why so i told annette we're going we're going shopping oh man i didn't get everything i needed well just you're robbing me because i enjoy it i do it i enjoy like when you get stuff on i say yes no yes yes no but i like when we go into untuck it i'm like you're like i'm i ask you well what do you like you're like what do you like i'm like this this this this you're like okay yeah it's like it's irrelevant because i'll be like oh look at this you go i'll go no okay that's our rule you show me something i go no and then you know you're not gonna buy that so i look oh look at this no okay the guy says what do you want whatever my wife likes obviously she i mean i'm wearing it she has to look at me she don't want to look at me that's fine yes only you're you choose your hoodies though yeah i've calmed down on the hoodies in case i I haven't seen a new one come in.

I think there's one still sitting in your trunk, though.

No, I took that one out.

Oh, you did?

The Salvation Spirit.

Yes, yeah.

I took it out.

I dusted it off because I cleaned out the car and everything.

Oh, you did?

Okay.

No, it's good.

It's on the pile.

Oh, I thought it was maybe in the laundry basket.

No, it's in rotation.

Okay.

No, it was good.

It's good to go.

Didn't need washing.

By the way, if it had mud stains on it, I still wouldn't throw that thing in the hamper.

I'm like recycling these things until they stand by themselves.

Okay, now you really got to go in the hamper.

Yeah.

I like it.

Nice.

Nice.

Speaking of laundry.

So Pastor Jimmy's sermon on Sunday.

Which was, first of all, good to have him back in the pulpit.

Yes.

He came back really just to do this one before they go on their vacation.

It was officially already their vacation, I guess.

Yes.

But he did one more message, which was.

Dynamite.

Always, always uplifting, always motivating.

I think my Sunday shows are always better because of it.

You know, like, okay, this is good.

Yes.

So speaking of that and the laundry, go for it.

Well, he was talking about how when you do tasks, if you have God, if you're doing them for God, he was talking about taking out the garbage.

And if you have God in mind, like it just, you do it for God.

Be mindful, everything you do, yes.

Everything is for God.

And so I had made some boiled eggs because we took them over on Monday night.

And I said, Pastor Jimmy, I want you to know, as I was peeling these boiled eggs, I was thinking, I'm doing it for God.

And then you aptly reminded me.

No, it was Annette who reminded me.

She goes, so when you're doing Adam's laundry.

You're doing it for God.

You're doing it for God.

You're not doing it for me.

You're doing it for God.

I'm like, I guess that's a way of looking at it.

And then I came across a meme that said, have you ever considered Adam and Eve only got clothes after they sinned, which means laundry is a result of the fall.

Oh, okay.

All right.

There you go.

Well, it's true.

It's true.

It would have been all run around naked.

But no, you know what?

That really changed my perspective about things.

It really did.

Like, you know, when you're doing it for God.

And I was walking yesterday.

And I was walking, you know, trudging down on a side street.

And there was this older guy.

And I saw him walking.

And I didn't recognize him.

And he was in front of me.

And I saw him stop and pick up a water bottle in the street.

And he went and he walked a little bit more and he put it in a garbage can that was sitting out on the street.

And I was like, oh, intentionality.

You know, like that's really.

I do that all the way, all the time, by the way.

I'll stop and get it in my car and throw up.

My grandfather used to do this.

But I recognize it.

And I'm like, oh, because Pastor Jimmy has talked about intentionality before.

And also I thought, oh, doing it for God.

You know, that's really cool.

and so as i'm walking so he sees me i'm on the other side of the street sees me like oh good morning i said good morning he goes you're the one who prays every morning i said yes i do he goes yeah how you doing i go fine how do you know that because i had run and i was getting out of my car putting my weighted vest on and he said oh good morning good morning and i say it was small talk this was a few weeks ago and i said oh yeah i'm going on my morning prayer walk and he's like oh okay.

And so he's like, you're the one who prays every morning.

I said, yeah, I am.

He goes, oh, that's really nice.

He, I go, yeah, walking is so good.

He said, I agree.

He goes, how old do you think I am?

He takes off his glasses.

I go, I don't know, 79.

He goes, I'm 88.

And he was, Adam, he was striding walking and he's like, walking is so good for you.

And he goes, hey, is that your car?

I go, yeah.

He goes, that's a nice car.

I go, yeah, don't come near it, please.

Yeah.

Don't park near don't look at it don't don't scratch the paint with your eyes but there was a couple things you know it was the intentionality of him picking up a lot when you know doing things when nobody else is looking you know that's what god sees and then putting it in the garbage can and then he remembered me that because i had mentioned that i pray on my walks yeah because like i said i had said a couple shows ago i don't know if it was last show or the show before about i listened to this prayer called the grace oasis on youtube i don't watch it i listen to it and it it leads you through scripture and uh it's about 15 minutes commentary and then it goes into a prayer and i it's i am uh that's what i look forward to what's it called again grace oasis grace oasis and i've shared it with so many people i know brandy listens to it every morning and um i know that I've sent it to Karen.

I've sent it to, I have sent it to a number of people.

And I just, the message is so good.

And that is my, that is my morning ritual.

Now I pop out of bed and I go walking before I have my coffee before, and then I come back and do my Bible study.

So a little sidetrack about Sunday.

So Phoebe had been acting very strangely for four or five days, maybe about almost a week maybe and just weird that's the weird jumpy she'd be laying down would jump up run into the laundry room looking up in the corner of the ceiling she wasn't pooping drinking water wasn't drinking water all kinds of stuff and and scratching crazy she still scratches a little bit but just just very odd behavior which i noticed severely you're like she's a dog but I noticed like something says something is off with her and this comes on the heel on the heels of our trip and you know when I was with Victor Marks and you know all kinds of enemy attacks against us and I sitting there in church and all of a sudden I get wow I think Phoebe under attack from the enemy Cause she's looking up into the corner.

She's look, she's going outside and barking at nothing.

And, and I tell you this, she says, Oh, we have to pray over her.

So I could, we come home from church.

I pray over her.

You prayed over her with Psalm 91.

Yeah.

I prayed over her again and back to normal.

Yeah.

Back to normal.

I truly believe she was being pestered.

Just like, you know, like something was just pestering her and teasing her.

And now she's back to her good old lethargic self.

Hanging out like, I'm not jumping up anymore.

Well, I think the odd behavior for me was how, because she always comes and lays by me when I'm on the couch.

Yes.

Lays at my feet.

And all of a sudden she was laying there.

All of a sudden she popped up, like immediately got up, started looking around.

walked into the dining area and was looking up towards the ceiling.

It was very unusual behavior.

And then she went and laid in the laundry room and she's been laying in the laundry room for, I don't know.

Days.

Yes.

And I was just like, that's strange.

That's strange.

And you talked to Annette about it.

And I think pastor Jimmy said, Oh, we pray over our dog Chevy all the time.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Cause they get attacked too.

It was just really remarkable.

Yeah.

A lot of God stuff happened here, girl.

No kidding.

A lot of God stuff, including the spot I got on my shirt.

Okay.

I'll just bring that up.

I think that's up to you.

But on Sunday, so that was Sunday.

You did the show, and during the afternoon, I went and celebrated the wine heiress and the fixer.

They got married.

Ah, yes.

They eloped a couple weeks ago.

This was the royalty of Fredericksburg, the wine heiress and the fixer.

Yes, but before that.

The political fixer.

Yes, exactly.

I went to lunch with Pastor Jimmy and Annette so we had a nice afternoon we went out and had lunch and then we went there and it was a long day for them it was a long day for me too I know you were working we went and just celebrated them it was nice to see them it was a cute little celebration but then we did exactly what we said we would do let's get together Monday night Monday afternoon and just hang out because we really haven't spent time with Pastor Jimmy and Annette since Nashville Because they've just been going on trips, running around.

The four of us.

We haven't been together.

No?

Yeah.

No, not at all.

Yeah.

And so it was good times.

Long overdue.

It was just good times hanging out.

We always have been.

Yeah.

It was so good, we even forgot to eat your deviled eggs.

I know.

I made a dozen deviled eggs and we totally forgot.

We forgot to eat them.

Because Annette made this amazing Mississippi pot roast.

That's what splattered onto my shirt.

I know.

I know.

Mississippi pot roast?

Well, I got the Issisi.

Issisi.

The Issisi is on my shirt.

Mississippi.

Mississippi stain.

Mississippi is on my shirt.

That's a good show title.

Mississippi.

How do you spell that?

M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I.

Mississippi stain.

Mississippi.

I like Mississippi.

Hold on.

Mississippi.

People are like, you forgot an M.

Is it pissy?

Is it pissy?

Is it pissy?

Okay.

All right, girl.

Calm down.

But no, I mean, we just, they're so easy to be around.

Yeah.

You know?

Yeah.

They really are easy to be around and easy to just.

Well, we get the benefit of them being our friends, but also.

Huge benefit.

And as pastors, we can really open up to them and say, how about this?

How do I view this?

You know, because we have questions.

We just have questions.

And they are so good at that, just shepherding us through things.

But we're also able to laugh about life stuff and tell stories.

Oh, yeah.

And share experiences.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So it was really, um, it was really, and they're age appropriate for us.

Yeah.

Yeah.

They're older than us.

Is Jimmy older than you?

Yeah.

Jimmy was born in January.

I was born in July.

Annette was born in April.

I was born in July.

I'm the youngest.

I'm the baby of the group.

You're the baby boomer.

Oh, a baby boomer.

Okay.

There you go.

But no, it was just, yeah.

And it was nice to get their guidance, you know, and they offer up guidance all the time and i always welcome that and i i think sometimes annette is reluctant because she doesn't want to come off as i don't know i don't know what she went i i think she's just reluctant and i'm always saying to her no no i want you to tell me i want you to say that because isn't that didn't we look that up in the bible about correction and we looked that up today in love yeah it all comes from you should always correct with right with gently in in love and not to shame anybody and i never feel that way no never what are you doing over there i'm about to blow my nose okay there we go much better so that was that was a great monday night and then uh yeah then tuesday night yet another dinner you know it's been great i've barely had to clean out the dishwasher all week.

I know.

It's like, oh, one glass.

I know.

One glass.

Yes.

We had dinner with new friends last night, which a part of our spiritual family, they go to our church.

We have met so many wonderful people from our church.

And how many people have a similar story to us?

We just showed up in Fredericksburg.

I know.

Isn't that crazy?

And they've been here like five years.

So one year longer than we have.

Oh, no, we just chose Fredericksburg, showed up here, found the church yeah here we are yeah rocking and rolling and we were there two and a half hours and it seemed like i swear it seemed like an hour hour and a half and we just barely touched the the the surface about our testimonies and barely even got to hear about alan's cigar business i know i know which is pretty interesting so we're gonna get together with them when we get back from new york but yeah i fell into the trap of trying to tell your stories and i got reprimanded I got reprimanded again, again.

Well, this fits right into my God shot.

Okay.

It's time for Tina's God Shot.

Presented by Adam Curry.

Presented by Adam Curry.

Yes, this is Tina's God Shot presented by Adam.

This week, your stand-in God shotter is Adam Curry.

God shotter.

And so we discussed this this morning.

Yes.

And it'll kind of fold back into last night.

So it's Romans 15, 5, 6.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And so it's about being a team.

Yes.

And in fact, the prayer that goes along this devotional, this is a little God time for couples.

Who gave us this?

I keep forgetting.

Randy Black.

Thank you, Randy Black.

We read it every day, Randy.

Yes, we do.

Father God, help us to see ourselves as a team.

We want to work together and not against each other.

Please help us to learn to live in unity and friendship.

We were not on the same team last night.

No, not entirely.

Oh, hold on.

So very similar to what Tina does on the podcast, which is hilarious, is you will.

Are you reprimanding me again?

No, it's hilarious.

Okay.

where you will interrupt the story and to remind me to say something, except you tell the end of the story.

And we've laughed about that on the show.

And last night I was like, and I responded in a way that I didn't like and I repented for it and I felt really bad about it.

And we were not, we were not a team.

And that was whatever happened there.

I need to be better about that because I should just love you for even bringing it up.

Well, here here is the issue is that Adam starts to tell a story and then I interject a piece of the story.

Because.

Well, because I think he's going to forget that part of the story.

And he he sometimes sternly, sometimes curtly will remind me you you're telling the punchline.

And so I was thinking about it today after I read the devotional and I thought, I don't do it to sabotage your story.

I do it because I'm joyful about it.

And I love being a part of the story.

And I didn't realize that I'm telling the punchline of the story.

And I said to you this morning, I said, I didn't feel like we were a team yesterday because you're looking at it like I'm interjecting your story.

and I'm looking at it like I'm being joyful.

I want to share part of the story.

I wasn't looking like you were interjecting.

I'm looking like I was leading up to it and you're thinking I forgot it.

So I understand where you're coming from.

You know, you often remind me in sometimes subtle, not so subtle ways that you're, Adam, you're interrupting somebody.

You'll touch my leg.

You'll say, shh, shh, you've shushed me.

and that doesn't bother me because you're right because i'm like oh yeah thank you and you'll tap me on the leg like okay yeah i'm interrupting because i do that well because and we all do this you're already thinking about in your head what you want to respond to and you're not listening to what the person is saying no i am i just think i'm more important it's it's not good it's not good oh wow i'm like no i got something to say yeah but you're not listening and i do it too.

We all do it.

I've had it done to me.

I'm listening, but I'm responding like I'm on a show.

That's what I do wrong.

Like I want to make it entertaining for the audience because I'm going to top that.

And it's dumb.

But you have helped me a lot with that.

And do you notice how sometimes I go, wait a minute, wait a minute, Adam, go back to what you were saying.

Do you notice how I do that?

Because the person's not able to stop their story.

I don't want to be disrespectful to you, but I want to be respectful.

But I don't feel that as disrespectful.

Okay, good.

So what I'm saying is I need to give you a different kind of signal because I know you're not being disrupted.

I'm just not going to say anything now.

I'm just not going to say a word.

I got reprimanded.

I got slapped across the cheek.

There you go.

There it is.

I'm not going there again.

We'll see how long this lasts.

I'm not doing it.

Nope.

But what I wanted you to know was that it wasn't to sabotage your story.

I know.

It came from being joyful about it.

But I know that.

Because, you know, the first time you yelled at me at the Blue Bonnet Cafe.

I know.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean, the marriage is just holding on by a string, babe.

I don't know if we can save it.

But you know what?

And you have a lot of stories, and people are interested in your stories.

And to be fair about it, I also am like, let's talk about Tina.

I know you can, but, you know.

But people don't want to hear about me.

They want to hear about you.

Yeah, but.

Or us.

They don't want to hear about me.

I'd rather talk about us.

But I don't, I, my stories involve you.

You've got great stories.

You know, like being Chicago's top six.

Yes.

Yes.

And tell a touchtone teller story.

These are great.

Yeah.

So like.

It really parallels to interviewing Michael Jackson.

Yeah.

Hello.

Press one for checking.

Two for savings.

Anyway.

um yeah so that was kind of a so when we read the devotional today yeah we were not a team but i had already repented because i felt really crappy about that and i got clarity on it when i was praying this morning on my walk and i was like you know i wasn't from malice it was it's it's being joyful it's being wanting to be involved in the story and i want him to know that and so instead of talk about the born on dates like remember the beer and coming i mean that that would be the best way because maybe i do so you're wanting me to to frame it in a different way for you not to tell the the payoff oh i'm not gonna say anything oh but i would love it i'm not going to i'm not i've been you know what you put your hand in the fire so many times i don't have a hand left i only had my right hand my left hand is gone okay okay so no i've learned i've learned no i've learned i'd appreciate it yeah it's okay i understand it's okay so but i like that we were able to recognize of course you know of course where yes where we were coming from i still have wild boar in my system by the way i don't need to know that that was the foodie last night we don't need to know that why do you need to why why i'm just why just to break it up a little bit like a wild boar i think it's because i asked where they came did you shoot this from the helicopter is that this what does this have to do with your god shot babe well it was at the dinner last night It was just, anyway, so I did the God shots over.

God shot moment came and went.

We already did the God shot.

Okay.

So anyway, I love you.

Please feel free to remind me if I'm, if you think I'm going to forget a story.

We'll see how long it lasts.

Oh no.

Why would you do that?

Why would you, why would you not?

I just, I, you know what?

I just, I don't know.

Well, I'll, you know what?

I'm gonna let the Holy Spirit guide me.

Holy, Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit New show title Holy Spirit Now it's time to hear from the cocksuckers But I love you very very very much I love you too We got to hear from those cocksuckers now What did you say?

Thank you.

That's sweet.

It's very cool.

So this is a value for value.

We, you know, obviously we, we got to pay for these expensive vehicles.

Tina's driving and for her, for her rims.

Yeah.

I got nice rims now.

You will never hear me complain about my rims.

Oh, we'll see.

We'll see.

We'll see.

But we, we love getting something back value in return.

We are happy to do this.

And thank you for programming my seats.

Oh yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

You were really happy about that.

Yeah, because I hit my head every time I get in the car because I have my seat up so high.

So now when you open the door, it goes down and back.

And then, did you try it with the...

I haven't been in the car, no.

Okay.

Nothing in the P.O.

box this week?

Did we get anything in the P.O.

box?

Yes, we did.

What did we get?

Well, we got a donation, too.

Is that Sir Bias Grace?

No.

Okay.

From Amanda Bates.

Okay, well, we'll start with Sir By His Grace, David Wicker, who sent us an envelope.

He sent a donation to Noah Jen and a donation to Karin the Keeper and a hat for Willie, which I gave to Willie.

And Willie's like, take a picture.

And took a picture, sent it off.

And David Wicker's like, I can't wait to meet that brother.

Well, you come to Fredericksburg.

I'll make sure you do.

And he sent us 5612?

Yes, 5612.

I'm trying to figure out.

I'm sure we're missing something very obvious with that amount.

Because it says 139 for you and your better half is quite the start.

5612.

I don't know what that means.

He also sent us two Trump chocolate bars, too.

And he's coming through town next month, and he's coming to Bridge Church.

And Sir by His Grace was, he sent me my first study Bible.

Your first study Bible.

That's right.

He is a loyal supporter of the show.

We adore him.

He's coming to first service.

He'll meet Willie.

Oh, excellent.

Well, he said he's coming to Bridge Church.

I don't know when, but he's coming through.

Hopefully for service.

He's coming through with his daughter, Aspen, and their three-legged dog, Greta.

Greta gets around.

That girl.

Greta has no problem.

She doesn't even know she's missing a leg.

No, she does.

Kind of cool.

So was there anything else on the note?

No, because it was part no agenda, Godcaster, Travel Karma, Candy Bars, and the hat for Willie.

Okay.

He's just, yeah, David is just awesome.

Yes, he is one of the OGs.

Ryan Tierney sent us 50,000 Satoshis.

Whoa, thank you, Ryan.

And all he said was ITE.

In the evening.

In the evening to you, Ryan.

Thank you very much.

$50 from Amanda Bates.

That came in on the PO box.

Thank you, Amanda.

You are so sweet.

We sent you, or she sent us her memoir.

She self-published this book.

Is Amanda the one who sent me evidence demands a verdict?

No, no, no.

That's Sarah.

I'm sorry.

I helped her.

She had sent me a story to edit, and I helped her.

This was a while ago, probably last year.

But this is a memoir that chronicles a life over 50 years dealing with abuse, alcoholism, cancer, COVID, and ultimately finding her voice, her truth, and coming back to God.

What's the title of it?

Amanda Bates, a memoir?

2020 Vision, it's called.

a memoir of how one woman confronted years of buried trauma, discovered her voice, her truth, and how to be happy again.

She is a no agenda listener.

And then she discovered Curry and the Keeper.

And so she sent us the book along with a really lovely letter.

And in 2023, she fell and broke her back.

Oh, that's right.

And we actually mentioned it on the show.

And so she sent a really lovely letter.

And she self-published this book.

Yes.

Yes.

I'm excited to read it.

So thank you so much, Amanda.

That was really, really kind.

Yeah.

It was very sweet.

Yes.

Loved it a lot.

And we're glad that you're feeling better.

Yes.

In mind, body, and spirit.

I have a feeling that I don't remember exactly.

I think she had to be upside down after her back operation, like suspended from the bed or something.

It was something crazy.

Yeah.

I think so.

Woo.

Well, we're very happy.

Are you reading?

Have you started reading the book yet?

Not yet.

No.

We just got it.

Looking forward to it.

Yeah.

What does he have to say?

He says the last episode was the epitome of what hooked me in the first place.

You two are so feisty with each other.

I want that for myself in my non-existent romantic life.

I'm still in bed and I still have my shorts on.

Okay, things we didn't need to know.

Evening, y'all.

Evening, y'all.

P.S.

Adam, you're still not Gen X.

Okay.

Nice one, Brian.

Dude.

Nice.

$7 on the regular donation from Ashley Wright.

Thank you so much, Ashley.

You're so sweet.

Comic Street blogger comes in with his 4680.

He says, howdy, lovebirds.

This is Tina and Adam.

New episode from Lady Vox has dropped a quote from her.

Sam and Vox investigate the art of decision-making through game theory, navigating rules, players, and payouts to make smarter choices.

We'll explore classic game theory scenarios, the psychology behind decisions, and why emotions like pride can shift the game.

Subscribe to her podcast at www.complexcandor.com.

Ah, well, you know, CSB sent me a message on Instagram.

Oh, he DM'd you on, he slid into your DMs?

Yes, about when we talked about his donation and the singing dog.

So he goes, the dog in my music video, Puparito Flow, is not AI generated because you said it was.

I took a photo from DC Girl and used OpenAI's Sora to animate the dog so it moves to the music.

Okay.

Yeah, so he's setting you straight.

Oh, okay.

Well, I feel so straightened out.

Setting you straight.

Okay.

A comic strip blogger always promoting other podcasts on many podcasts.

Yes.

He is truly a force of nature.

We love that.

Yes.

And still don't know who T3M3RY is.

T.

Marie.

T.

Marie.

$5 through the Fountain app, through the Apple Pay thing there.

And no note.

And so I still don't know who he is, but we appreciate it.

Thank you.

We'd love to put a name to it.

Yes.

One, two, three, four Satoshi's from MH.

Oh.

MH says miracles are real.

I believe me.

No kidding.

And 139 sats to round it out from user 183420225038226.

Please change that.

Do we need to decant those two people?

I think we should.

Hold on a second.

So first we decant MH.

You've been decanted.

Decanted.

And then we'll decant user 1-834-202-2050-38226.

You've been decanted.

And this boost was for, is a body cam donation.

Oh?

For my body cam.

Body cam?

Yeah, I was talking about I need a body cam.

Why?

I think on the last show.

Need a body, for proof of something, I'm sure.

I need a body cam.

A body cam donation.

Nice.

Nice.

So thank you all very much.

Yes, thank you.

I really do appreciate that.

Good newsletter again.

Thank you.

Was there anything that we hadn't discussed in the newsletter?

No, I think there was one, I think.

Let me see.

Wasn't there something at the top?

Did we already talk about it?

Let me see.

Because I read it.

I read it.

I know.

Nice picture of Phoebe wondering what she's going to get you for her birthday, which was kind of some odd, subtle hint.

Yeah, no, we talked about it.

Oh, we just got to prepare Phoebe for the fireworks on the 4th.

Ah, yes, the 4th of July.

Yeah, I say Benadryl and Thunder shirt.

Let's knock her out.

Let's knock her out.

The only way to go.

The only way to go.

It's time once again.

Tina has a question already.

I have no idea what it is, so we'll see how that goes.

Question of the weed.

All right.

You're going to have to think about this.

Of course I will.

And I'm not, you're going first.

I'm not.

Of course I will.

Okay.

What is your favorite memory of us traveling together?

And we've had 10 years of travel.

Favorite memory.

Of us traveling together.

And that got me this amazing digital frame last year, for my birthday last year.

Which has been phenomenal.

And we both love it.

And I had the intention of putting scripture on it in my prayer room.

And I kept it in the box.

And she mentioned a couple months ago, like, you haven't even opened a birthday gift.

And I'm like, oh.

And so I actually brought it out and I uploaded almost 300 photos.

And you love seeing it.

I do.

I never see your pictures because they're on your phone.

Right, right.

So I hate to do this, but is this the actual traveling portion?

No.

It's any experience.

You said traveling together.

Not like on the plane or on a train.

Or automobile or a bus.

So specific.

Well, yes, I am.

What is your favorite Uber experience with me?

That's what this question is kind of like.

Okay, vacation.

What is your favorite memory of one of our vacations together?

Italy, Lake Como.

Oh.

My favorite.

That was my favorite.

Was that yours too?

That's mine too.

Oh, no.

I think that was my favorite.

because we, and we did travel by train, by car, by plane.

We flew into Florence.

Yeah.

And then we rented a car.

And then we took a train.

We went to Tuscany.

Then we drove up to Lake Como, had to drop the car back off in Florence.

Did we have to drop it back off?

No, Lake Como.

Then we took the train to Switzerland.

Yeah.

So why was that your favorite vacation experience?

Well, first of all, it's when I proposed to you.

Yeah, good.

He wins 10 points.

I think it'll just stop here.

Somebody's getting lucky.

All right.

How about you?

Why was that your favorite vacation travel experience?

Well, I don't get surprised often.

Ah, there it is.

You know, I don't.

It's very, very rare that I'm really taken by surprise.

And you took me by surprise by that one.

I mean, it was the most beautiful setting.

We stayed in a beautiful Airbnb right on Lake Como.

It was the weather was perfect.

Outside of the season, weather was perfect.

No tourists.

No tourists.

The weather was perfect.

I had absolutely no idea.

And we were just happy and enjoying life and the way the whole thing kind of came off.

And yeah, that was by far one of my most favorite.

Yeah, that was good.

That was good.

We should do that again.

Let's do it.

I'm game.

Yeah.

When do you want to go?

Well, I mean, I would like to go every year, but you know, you have all these little mini trips we're doing.

Mini trips.

Mini trips.

Mini trips.

Well, hopefully next year we'll go to Israel.

Hopefully with the church.

That should be fun.

Yeah.

Yeah.

We want to go.

We still have Japan on the list.

Yeah.

That's going to be after Israel.

Cause I want to go to Israel.

Okay.

Yeah.

All right.

If we can.

Well, if we should go now, this is a 60 day truce.

We should go quick.

We can't go now.

No.

Quick, quick, quick.

Move in.

Hopefully the church is organizing something for a bunch of people to go.

Is that on deck?

Is that.

They're talking about it.

They're talking about it.

That would be cool.

Yeah.

I have never been.

I have friends there.

People I want to visit, stuff I want to see, just like to see that.

Yeah.

That has always been on my list for sure.

Well, Mrs.

Curry, I tell you what, I think we have at least one episode, maybe two of the Chosen to catch up on.

Now that Ted Lasso is over.

I know.

It's kind of sad.

I know.

I thought there was five seasons.

It ended so abruptly.

It's like, oh, wait.

It was like they wrapped it up real quick.

What?

We're like, wait a minute.

What happened?

Is there a fourth season?

Is there more coming?

Yeah.

There's a fourth season coming, but they don't know when.

Okay.

film.

Well, thank you for doing the show.

You're welcome.

How did that go wrong for me somehow?

I love you.

I love you too.

Uh, so not next week, but maybe stay tuned.

Maybe from New York.

Maybe.

In the evening.

In the keeper.

Yeah, curry in the keeper.

Curry in the keeper.
