David Sedaris keeps putting out fun essays. I’ve enjoyed how his content has changed over the years, while his wry take stays consistent. He covers being a caregiver, a care receiver, and the many faults and triumphs of the unique culture of the United States: David Sedaris - The Land and Its People. 

The lyrics and simple music combine to make this so powerful! Aliciawaiwai - just eat my brain. What an amazing accomplishment. Just…wow. The raw emotion and clever lyrics in this song by Aliciawaiwai might make you cry a little bit. You’ve been warned. 

“Perfect Days” got a lot of acclaim when it came out. I finally got around to watching it. The film is slow and deliberate, just like the protagonist. Fantastic acting and a soundtrack packed with American classics: Perfect Days trailer 

Cirque Italia gave us some good old fashioned feats of strength and balance, with a goth/horror twist: Paranormal Cirque - Cabaret and Thriller Circus. I see this kind of performance just often enough to be amazed and surprised. 

White Flowers makes Doug Music. This single Heaven from their album “Dreams For Somebody Else” is a prime example of this subgenre.
