At Royal Birkdale, Sam Burns shoots a 5-under 65 to take a 2-shot lead into the final round of The Open Championship. Burns has played his last 36 holes in 13 under after opening with a 73. Ryan Fox matches the men’s major-championship scoring record with a 62 and joins Kim Si-woo in second place, while Ryan Gerard, Lucas Herbert, Bryson DeChambeau, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy remain in pursuit.

In the WNBA, the Indiana Fever erase a 13-point deficit and beat the defending champion New York Liberty 108-88. Kelsey Mitchell scores 33 points for her second consecutive 30-point game and extends her streak of games with at least 20 points to 10. Caitlin Clark adds 17 as Indiana dominates the third quarter and turns 17 New York turnovers into 30 points.

The Liberty’s fourth straight loss drops them below Indiana in the standings and continues a troubling stretch for a team that entered the season with championship expectations. Chris also covers the Golden State Valkyries extending their franchise-record winning streak to 9 by beating Washington behind Gabby Williams and a double-double from Veronica Burton.

Major League Baseball coverage begins with Tarik Skubal throwing 7 scoreless innings and Spencer Torkelson homering twice in Detroit’s win over the Angels. Chris also runs through the full Saturday scoreboard, including Philadelphia beating the Mets, Seattle walking off San Francisco, Boston edging Tampa Bay and the Athletics responding to a 23-run loss by scoring 15 against Washington.
