This is where we untangle energy imperialism an episode at a time. Find WeSmellGas Collective's audio-documentaries, interviews, panels and talks, sprinkled with some of the best revolutionary music from Sudan to Algeria, Italy to Congo.

THE COLLECTIVE

WeSmellGas is an abolitionist, anti-imperialist collective of organisers, researchers and film-makers currently based in Europe.

We are rooted in radical and revolutionary movements against borders, empire, and state violence. We are exploring ways of applying this politics to the struggle for ecological and energy justice.

We conduct critical research to locate Europe’s key perpetrators of energy imperialism and work with those in resistance to new extractivist energy projects.

We take action in European imperial cores, to disrupt and resist energy projects that weaponise and reinforce racial capitalist dynamics, and to demand better for us all.

We deliver political education in Europe by producing and curating resources, creative media, workshops and written content to expand the anti-imperialist, anti-colonial consciousness and action of climate movements organising in Northern Europe, while connecting those to existing struggles outside the imperial core.
