Episode Description

New Zealand has one of the highest rates of melanoma in the world, but this is something we really don't want to be leaders at. Our largely fair-skinned population along with the kiwi love for the outdoors goes some of the way to explaining why skin cancer is so prevalent in Aotearoa.

MoleMap's Chief Medical Officer Dr Lorna Claydon joins Toni to discuss why Kiwi's need to be extra vigilant when it comes to sun safety, the differences between the three types of skin cancer, and how to know when it's time to talk to a professional.
