Shetty explains CenterWell’s scale (about 400 locations in 15 states serving roughly 600,000 patients) and its senior-focused, value-based, team-based care model designed to improve outcomes and help people “live longer well.” He confirms CenterWell in The Villages is not currently accepting traditional/original Medicare, instead partnering with multiple Medicare Advantage plans, and he is unsure about specialty care coverage details. The conversation covers access and appointment timing, longer average visits (about 40 minutes), behavioral health and depression screening, fulfillment research using patient surveys, proactive prevention and evidence-based screening, care coordination with specialists and hospitals, post-discharge follow-up, home health services, and Alzheimer’s screening and support.
