Why I Give the M-315 an 8/10
After using the M-315 for about a year, I think I can finally give a fair opinion on it. If I had to score it out of 10, I would probably give it an 8/10. Overall, I still really like this electric trike, and I don’t regret buying it at all. But at the same time, there are a few things that prevented it from being a perfect product for me.
Why I Bought an Electric Trike Instead of a MotorcycleFirst of all, I want to explain what kind of rider I am, because I think that matters a lot when talking about electric trikes. I’m already in my 50s, so I’m not chasing speed or aggressive performance like younger riders who enjoy motorcycles or high-powered e-bikes. What I wanted was something stable, comfortable, practical, and easy to ride for short daily trips.
Most of the time, I use the M-315 to ride a few miles away from home to go fishing, visit nearby parks, or simply relax outdoors. Sometimes I also use it for grocery shopping or casual rides around the neighborhood. For these types of riding situations, the M-315 honestly performs very well.
The Folding Design Is More Useful Than I ExpectedOne of the biggest reasons I chose this model was the folding design. At first, I thought the folding feature was just a marketing point, but after using it for a while, I realized it is actually very useful. It makes storage much easier, especially if you don’t have a large garage space. It also helps when transporting the trike in certain situations.
Comfort and Stability Are the Strongest PartsAnother thing I like is the overall comfort. The riding position feels upright and relaxed, which is important for older riders like me. I can ride for quite a while without feeling too much pressure on my back or shoulders. The seat is comfortable enough for daily riding, and the three-wheel design gives me a stronger sense of stability compared to a regular bicycle.
The Motor Power Is More Than Enough for Daily RidingAs for the power, I honestly think it is more than enough for normal people. Some people online always focus heavily on speed numbers and acceleration, but for me, that’s not the most important thing. The M-315 has enough torque for climbing hills, riding through parks, and even handling rough outdoor roads near fishing areas. I never felt like the motor was struggling during normal use.
The fat tires also help a lot. They make the ride smoother and give better confidence on uneven roads. I’ve ridden through gravel paths, grass, and some slightly muddy areas without major problems. Of course, this is not a mountain bike, but for casual outdoor riding, it does the job well.
Battery Life Has Been Reliable So FarBattery life has also been pretty good in my experience. Since I mainly do short-distance riding, I usually don’t worry much about range anxiety. I only charge it when necessary, and after one year, the battery performance still feels stable.
The Biggest Problem: Customer Service Response TimeNow let’s talk about the reason why I deducted 2 points.
The biggest problem for me was customer service response speed. One time, my tire got punctured by a sharp object during a ride. Accidents happen, so I didn’t blame the company for that. But when I contacted customer support to get a replacement tire, the process became frustrating.
I had to wait a long time for replies, and the communication felt very slow. In total, it took almost two weeks just to solve a relatively simple tire issue. Personally, I think that is too slow, especially for people who rely on their trike regularly. Good after-sales support is extremely important for electric vehicles, and I hope Addmotor can improve this part in the future.
Final Thoughts After One YearStill, even with that bad experience, I have to admit the product itself has been reliable overall. The frame feels solid, the riding experience is enjoyable, and the trike matches my lifestyle very well.
At the end of the day, I think the M-315 is a great choice for middle-aged or older riders who want comfort, stability, and practicality instead of extreme performance. It may not be perfect, but after one year of ownership, I can honestly say I’m still happy with my purchase.
