Friends of the Rosary,

Today in the Gospel (Luke 7:36–50), the Lord Jesus corrects Simon the Pharisee's strict religiosity.

He wrongly believes that divine favor is won through human achievement. The “sinful woman” in the house of Simon the Pharisee is an example that God’s mercy is not abstract.

The forgiven woman loves boldly because she knows what grace has done for her. The Gospel invites us to receive forgiveness honestly, and then let gratitude become love.

As a prayer for today, we ask Lord Jesus to help us come to Him without hiding. And to teach me to trust His mercy, receive His forgiveness, and love Him with a grateful heart.
