Listed as a British “wrong-com,” the first episode of Alice and Steve covers the inciting incident that sets up the premise of this six-episode series. You probably already know Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker, just like we knew Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne going into Platonic. The difference is that this one leans confidently British, with a plot that veers more toward sharp awkwardness than anything particularly heartwarming.
