Dinner has been eaten. Bellies have been filled. The brownies are ready to resume their tale — which means Daz and Pooky are about to hear about a mysterious old woman in the woods, a cottage that appears from nowhere, a dream that may not be only a dream, and a secret hot enough to vanish beneath the skin.

But while Snooker spins the story of Alta and Bubby Vama, Biscuit hears something outside.

And when Biscuit barks, darlings, the neighborhood listens.
