The Young is a coming-of-age actual play in which a strange sickness spreads through Nokomis County, Michigan, in the summer of ‘95 - the year Camp Whippoorwill closed for good. This is a horror story.

On the long weekend before the campers arrive, the new teen junior counselors and cabin monitors for the summer of ‘95 - the “camptains” - hike to the old logging camp, where the camp director hid the old Whippoorwill standard, “The Loon,” as an initiation rite.
