December 7, 2025; 8am: The Agriculture Department announced that it’s planning to withhold federal funding for food stamps in Democratic-led states that have refused to share sensitive personal data about recipients. The group of Democratic states have argued against sharing the data because they are concerned it could be used for other policies like immigration enforcement. Hawaii Attorney General Anne Lopez and Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel are two Democrats who are fighting back against the Trump administration. They join “The Weekend” to discuss.
