#266: Bryan Gould (Aspenleaf) - 29 Years at Shell & Growing to 25,000 BOE/D

Greetings, and welcome back to the podcast.
This episode we are joined by Mr. Bryan Gould - founder & executive chairman of Aspenleaf Energy - a private energy company producing ~25,000 BOE/D.
Aspenleaf operates assets in the Swan Hills, Leduc and Twining regions of
Alberta, having acquired Arcan Resources Ltd in 2015, NEP Canada Ltd. In 2018
and Huron Resources Corp in 2020.
Mr. Gould was born and raised in Toronto. He attended the University of Toronto and graduated in 1982 with a Master of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) degree. Upon graduation, he joined Shell Canada as a reservoir engineer and moved west to Calgary.
Mr. Gould has experience in development and operations of
conventional oil and gas assets, oil sands and unconventional resource plays.
Mr. Gould is a seasoned oil and gas executive with more than 25 years of experience with Royal Dutch Shell/Shell Canada and more than three years with Athabasca Oil Corporation.
Mr. Gould has a track record in strategy implementation, and has
completed over $30 billion of transactions, including corporate and asset
acquisitions and sales, and joint ventures with large international organizations.
Mr. Gould is involved with numerous efforts to advocate for sensible energy strategy and policies. He is also deeply involved with The Alliance for Responsible
Citizenship; a global effort aimed at preservation of the fundamentals of Western
Civilization.
