Twenty years ago, Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published 12 cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, sparking protests, riots and boycotts across the Muslim world. Clashes outside Danish embassies led to at least 200 deaths. Flemming Rose was the culture editor who commissioned the cartoons. Here, he explains why we must fight for the right to draw Muhammad, why we must never bow to Islamic intolerance and why self-censorship is the greatest enemy of free speech.
