In this episode of my Welcome to Plathville Season 8 recap, I break down a drama-packed hour starting with the long-awaited explanation of why Teigen and Ethan split — she threw him a birthday party, he ditched it to work on his car, she confronted him in the garage, he saw red and peeled out in his '76 New Yorker, and they broke up over the phone. I also get into Barry's unhinged Bigfoot portal theory that he shares with Amber and her 16-year-old friend Berlin over dinner, Lydia's heartbreak over being excluded from the Montana sibling trip, and Teigen's absolute ice-cold shade toward Ethan throughout the whole horseback riding excursion — dropping the word "friend" so many times I lost count. Mariah gets a brief cameo talking about her alopecia and trying to gain weight (must be nice), and I wrap up with a juicy preview of next week involving Teigen's mom warning her about Ethan and Ken giving Kim some kind of ultimatum.
