Today, I dove into the season eight premiere of Welcome to Plathville on TLC — my absolute favorite guilty pleasure show. The episode opened back at the Georgia farmhouse where it all began, with Kim revealing she's now officially living there with her boyfriend Ken, and sharing that she and Barry have settled on a 50/50 custody arrangement for their younger girls. The big storyline of the night was Zac and Lydia — who are glowing up, still in their honeymoon phase, and carrying serious unresolved hurt from the family's accusations that Zac is gay and controlling. We also caught up with Ethan, who's moved back to Cairo, is still not divorced from Olivia (she keeps ghosting his lawyer), and confirmed he and Teegan are broken up, largely because he never followed through on his promises to move. I rounded things out with a quick update on the Joseph Duggar case — he posted bond, pleaded not guilty, and is being represented by private counsel in what is shaping up to be a massive legal battle.
