This week’s Slay Weekly celebrates the places queer people turn into community. We’re cheering Pittsburgh’s decision to abandon plans for a public works facility at the Fruit Loop, preserving a landscape generations of LGBTQ+ Pittsburghers made part of our history, and celebrating Steel City Softball players who represented Pittsburgh among 4,200 athletes at the Gay Softball World Series. From a road through Schenley Park to a softball diamond, this week is a reminder that where we gather, queer community grows.
