Don’t think for a moment that the dismantling of the 1965 Voting Rights Act stops with disenfranchising Black voters. Once Republicans are finished suppressing Black votes, women are next, gay Americans will follow, and then they’ll come for the working poor. Nobody is safe once if the powers that be are allowed to dismantle democracy. Dismantling the voting rights act isn’t a Black issue. It’s a EVERYBODY issue and everybody needs to ACT LIKE IT.
