Episode Description
The Friday-Night Call That Sent a Queenslander to Norwegian Football.
Cameron Crestani was 25 and had started to make peace with football not being his career.
He had come through Brisbane Roar's youth system, played a handful of Asian Champions League and A-League games, gone back to NPL Queensland, won a Grand Final at Western Pride, and then dropped to a fourth-tier Queensland club playing a new position, focused on life after football.
Then on a Friday night at 10pm Brisbane time, a phone call came in from Kasey Wehrman, a former Socceroo now coaching Strømmen IF in Norway's Division 2.
He had a contract written by Wednesday and was on a plane the following Saturday.
