A few things that stuck with me as I listened through this week's conversation:
The Canada Conversation series exists because I believe stories are like capsules for the human brain. And hopefully, each guest and episode gives someone the specific thing they need to hear to make the best decision. Or it helps them manage their fears or anxieties much better.
The Canadian immigration system has been running on the number of people who have come in for a long time. It's probably worth measuring how many feel like they have made Canada home at this point. That is, they are financially stable, professionally recognized, and genuinely connected to the place they chose to call home. We need to build a way to measure belonging.
