Episode 63: Stop Filling The Silence

Episode Description

When was the last time you let things be quiet?

No podcast. No music. No scrolling. No filling every empty moment with something to do, learn, consume, or accomplish.

In this solo episode of the Move With Ease Podcast, I’m exploring something I’ve been noticing in my own life: how uncomfortable we’ve become with silence.

We fill the drive.
We fill the walk.
We fill the space between appointments.
Sometimes we even fill our rest.

But what if some of the clarity we’re searching for can only show up when we stop adding more?

Silence gives us space to notice.

To hear our thoughts.
To feel what’s happening in our bodies.
To let ideas arrive instead of constantly chasing them.
And sometimes, simply to be.

This isn’t about never listening to another podcast or deleting every app from your phone. It’s an invitation to experiment with leaving a little more space unfilled.

Go for the walk without your headphones.

Drive without immediately turning something on.

Sit for a few minutes without reaching for your phone.

You might be surprised by what you hear when you finally give yourself enough quiet to listen.

Awareness before action.

Sometimes the next thing we need isn’t more information.

It’s space.

Thanks for being here, and as always, I am rooting for you to move with ease.
