Episode Description

What if getting older isn't the problem...

What if the story we've been told about aging is?

For years, I was afraid of getting older...not because of wrinkles or gray hair, but because of what I believed getting older meant.

Somewhere along the way, I had attached aging to limitation.

I believed it meant slowing down, becoming less capable, and leaving parts of myself behind.

In this solo episode, I share three personal stories that completely changed the way I think about aging: a university doctor who unknowingly introduced me to my future career, a comment on a dance team that stayed with me for years, and a remarkable woman in her 90s who taught me one of the greatest lessons about prevention.

Over the years, I've realized something powerful:

Getting older isn't something to fear.

It's a privilege.

It's another trip around the sun.
Another opportunity to learn.
Another opportunity to grow.
Another opportunity to move.
Another opportunity to become.

In this episode, we explore:

• How one sentence in my twenties shaped the way I thought about aging.

• Why the stories we tell ourselves about getting older matter.

• The powerful lesson a 90-year-old woman taught me about prevention.

• What my 75-year-old dad continues to teach me about curiosity, movement, and living fully.

• How the women inside the Move With Ease community are redefining what's possible in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond.

• Why prevention isn't about staying young—it's about keeping every decade of your life available to you.

If there's one message I hope you take away from this episode, it's this:

You don't have to fear getting older.

You don't have to chase youth.

You get to keep becoming.

Because I don't want to spend my life trying to stay young.

I want every decade of my life to feel available to me.
