We are challenged to move beyond reptilian, fear-driven responses—conflict, control, violence—and step into the prefrontal cortex of nonviolent, creative thinking, just as Jesus, the Prince of Peace, demonstrated. Profound insights emerge when we consider how to confront violence without using force (as seen, for example, in the story of the demoniac), why the world so often resists genuine peace, and how peacemakers come to be identified with God Himself. The journey leads us to face persecution for righteousness’ sake—not because we are troublemakers, but because we are undivided peacemakers who can even rejoice in suffering. We do so having overcome the fear of death through Christ’s invitation. In this way, everything comes full circle into kingdom living: we create innovative solutions, live fearlessly, and begin to experience resurrection life right here and now.
