John Kirk's story is one of transition and resilience, moving from a high-pressure career as a lieutenant in the Newark Police Department to a fulfilling role as a Class Three Officer in an elementary school. After years of intense midnight shifts, chasing stolen cars, and dealing with dangerous situations, Kirk realized the toll the job was taking on his health and well-being. With over 27 years of service it was time to move on.
