Following Jesus is a lifelong series of responses to God’s call, illustrated by Abraham’s willingness to offer Isaac after decades of waiting for the promised son—trusting God’s character even when the command seemed to contradict the promise. This story ultimately reveals a faithful God who provides, points forward to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, and challenges us to release our own “Isaacs” into His hands.
