In this message we sit with Abraham in his grief after Sarah’s death and watch him, still a sojourner, carefully buy a small piece of land as a quiet act of faith that looks beyond the present pain. It’s an invitation for us, in our own losses and ordinary days, to hold grief and hope together and to live with eternity in view, trusting that what God has promised will one day be fully ours in the city He is building.
