My interview with Javant shed an abundance of light on HEALTHY VEGAN EATING! Javant is an expert on teaching how to make the foods you love in the healthiest ways possible! MANY of us look at foods generally considered "unhealthy" and have the misconception they cannot be prepared in a healthy manner. Javant breaks that stigma and we discuss HOW he learned to do this and his different ways and methods of doing so! Javant starts by discussing the healthiest ways to eat as a vegan and explains the differences between being a vegetarian and a vegan. I am highly curious about how to get quality protein sources as a vegan and Javant not only discusses multiple sources of protein, but also excellent sources of fats and carbs as well as if it is possible to do a ketogenic diet while eating vegan. Javant teaches how to go about cooking without oils and still producing extremely delicious food. We then discuss the newest stigma in many plant based foods: oxalates and Javant gives a thorough education on if this is a prevalent problem or not. The conversation shifts to bodybuilding as a vegan as well as supplements that Javant recommends as well. We then discuss different aspects and concepts of his new book, why he wrote it and the impact that he hopes that it has! I was able to get my hands on the book prior to release and can say that while I generally do not promote books on my podcast, this one was A MUST for me to showcase. Javant does amazing work and while he is quite soft spoken, he showed his charismatic side on our interview as well as his extreme knowledge base and desire to help bring hope and change of health into everyone's lives!
