Amrita’s Notes: Joanne talks of retelling the well-loved story of Pride & Prejudice in a steampunk adventure setting and how she balanced the story to make it her own. She also talks of her extensive writing practice, her experiences with rejection and how running her own press and being an editor shaped her perspective on her own work. Then we touch upon her publishing journey and experience with her Canada-based small press.
