Jonas is a German-born, Melbourne-raised photographer with a strong desire for exploration and travel. That sense of adventure first led him to pick up a camera around 10 years ago, documenting the places, experiences and outings he encountered along the way. Initially drawn to landscape photography, his work has gradually expanded into cityscapes, portraits and the small candid moments he finds interesting or beautiful.

His love for photography has always been focused on the process. Regardless of the subject, Jonas enjoys being able to capture and document the world as he sees it. Sharing his work through social media is a great bonus, but it has never been his main motivation.

Visiting new places, cities, countries and landmarks continues to be a major source of inspiration, and photographing his travels remains one of his greatest passions. Just as importantly, many of his favourite photographs have been taken closer to home, revisiting familiar parts of Melbourne and finding new ways to see them.

Photography has given Jonas a much deeper appreciation for how beautiful the world can be in so many different ways. Ultimately, that sense of beauty, curiosity and perspective is what he hopes to share through his work.
