Abraham #3 - Sometimes following Jesus can feel like it is costing us greatly. We can start to doubt if God’s promises to those who love Him will be true for us. In today’s Bible passage, Abraham doubts the promises God has made him. God is gentle and kind and reassures Abraham by establishing a covenant with him. And God extends a new covenant promise to us through Jesus Christ. Jesus dies in our place so that we can have a new covenant relationship with God, like Abraham did. All we have to do is believe.
