Logline: When bookish high-school senior Izzy Lopez discovers that Miles Pires Shah — the boy she has secretly loved for years — is leaving town in eight weeks, she creates an outrageous plan to learn Bollywood dancing, perform for him at prom, and finally make him see her before it is too late.
American Bollywood is almost here.
Izzy Lopez has spent years loving Miles Pires Shah from a safe distance, but everything changes when she learns that Miles is leaving town in just eight weeks. Faced with the terrifying possibility that he could disappear from her life without ever knowing how she feels, Izzy decides that simply telling him the truth would apparently be far too sensible.
Instead, she makes a plan: learn Bollywood dancing, perform an unforgettable routine at the school prom, and somehow convince Miles to fall in love with her.
There is only one very significant problem — Izzy cannot dance.
As she searches for a teacher willing to take on what may be an impossible challenge, Izzy begins a journey filled with disastrous dance lessons, unexpected friendships, family complications, romantic near-misses, and the growing realization that winning Miles may not be the only thing at stake.
American Bollywood is a warm, funny and emotional audio romance about chasing first love, taking terrifying chances, and discovering who you might become when you finally stop watching life from the sidelines.
