In this special episode of State of the Republic, we talk with Chibuike “Chibi” Ukaegbu, recently transferred from Sacramento Republic FC to Houston Dynamo 2 of MLS NEXT Pro.

Chibi takes us through his journey from joining the Sacramento Republic Academy to making his first-team debut, sharing what it was like making that jump and becoming part of the first team. He also talks about his experiences being called up to the United States Youth National Teams, his development as a player, and some of the memorable moments that have shaped his career so far.

We get to know Chibi beyond the pitch as he reflects on his time with Sacramento Republic, his growth through the club's system, and what's next as he begins this new chapter with Houston Dynamo 2.
