In just over a week, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be speaking at the United Nations General Assembly where he’s expected to continue the push for Australia to be a part of the UN Security Council in 2029 and 2030. If we get the nod, it will be the first time we’ve had that job since 2014 - so we thought we’d have a look at what the Security Council actually is, what it does, and what it would mean for us if we were part of it.
