What happens when someone desires the experience of you but doesn’t actually have the capacity for the relationship you need?

In this bonus episode of Spicy Spectrum, I’m getting personal about something I’ve experienced throughout my dating life: being highly desired, getting a lot of male attention, and learning that attraction doesn’t always equal emotional capacity.

I talk about the difference between wanting access to a woman and actually being prepared for the human being behind the fantasy. I also explore why being desired doesn’t protect you from rejection, why I value reciprocity and tangible investment in my relationships, and why being discarded after becoming emotionally attached can feel so dehumanizing.

I also answer a question someone recently asked me: If a man is attracted to a woman but lacks the capacity for the relationship she needs, what should he do? I share my perspective for both men and women on building capacity, recognizing genuine investment, protecting your energy, and learning not to confuse desire with the ability to consistently show up.

This episode is a personal reflection on patterns I’ve experienced throughout my dating life. It is not about any one person or relationship, and identifying details from my private relationships have intentionally been left out.
