Chronicles of the Nildorin - D&D Campaign - Episode 27 Session 55
The party takes a breathless leap across realms as Nemiea invokes the Void Tome to teleport the Nildorin out of Cogspring and into the frostbitten wilderness of Whitemaw. As biting winds howl through the cut-log fort and snow falls across the twilight sky, the companions quickly realize how brutal the northern tundra can be. With Dante sniffling in the cold, Nemiea conjures Nordic winter clothing before leading her freezing allies down the snow-dusted paths toward familiar shelter.
Passing Archibald's stone statue, now free of the dark ooze that marked the town corrupted, the group ducks into the Frostbloom Tavern. Expecting a warm refuge, they instead find a quiet room run by Dane, a bewildered 17-year-old barkeep who has no idea about most things in life. Classic Nildorin chaos follows: Harding downs watered-down ale, Dante transforms into a massive gray wolf to warm up, and Nemiea uses clockwork magic to snuff out and reignite the tavern candles. Realizing the inn offers little comfort, they head back out, where Harding promptly hurls a snowball at wolf-form Dante's head for 2 points of bludgeoning damage and 3,278 points of emotional damage!
Reaching the local chapel, the mood softens as the group is greeted by Hugo the cat and reunited with Francis Pond, the narcoleptic dragonborn priest. Francis offers shelter, and the party settles on the wooden pews for the night. As quiet falls, Dante reflects on lost allies like Reed while the Gilded Tome's compass needle flares to life with brilliant light. Nearby, Nemiea consults the Void Tome, speaking with Primus about forgotten memories and the name Mystra as the party prepares for the road ahead.
