Welcome to our third episode of SERVED WITH RICE, with Jackie Lee Morrison, Emma Pei Yin, and Jacquie Pham!
SERVED WITH RICE is a literary and cultural podcast dedicated to amplifying marginalised voices through intimate, food-infused conversations about books, publishing and identity. Set around the casual ritual of shared meals, the podcast merges critique, joy, and storytelling with sharp questions about representation in the Trans-Tasman publishing industry.
This week, our guest is Angie Faye Martin, a writer/editor currently living on Gubbi Gubbi Country (Redcliffe). She worked in public policy for 15 years before launching a freelance editing business, Versed Writings. She has a Bachelor of Public Health, a Masters of Anthropology, and a passion for fiction. Melaleuca is her debut novel. Visit Angie at her website, angiefaye.net.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live, work, and record, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
We also acknoweldge ngā iwi ō Māori as the Tangata Whenua of Aotearea New Zealand, and recognise Māori have tino rangitiratanga over the land, waters, air, and culture.
Tukua te wairua / kia rere ki ngā taumata / Hei ārahi i ā tātou mahi / Me tā tātou mahi / i ngā tikanga a rātou mā / Kia mai, kia ita / Kia kore ai e ngaro / Kia pupuru, kia whakamaua / Kia tina! TINA! / Hui e! Tāiki E!
