Kirrily is joined by Nick Tebbey, National Executive Officer of Relationships Australia, an organisation that has been walking alongside Australians through the ups and downs of their relationships for more than 75 years. Together they trace where the conditions for violence actually come from: a fifty-year-old family law system that can be turned into a weapon by the very people it's meant to restrain, online worlds quietly reshaping what young men believe about respect, national data showing Australians lonelier and under more pressure than ever, and the vulnerabilities that alcohol, gambling and what we consume online pour fuel on.

But this conversation lands somewhere unexpectedly hopeful: the evidence that knowing your neighbours is genuine protection against violence, why people who use violence can change, and what actually motivates them to.
