It was one of the worst disasters in modern U.S. history… and then it just disappeared from the headlines.

I’m talking about Maui — Lahaina. A hundred and two lives lost. More than 2,200 structures destroyed. And damage estimates in the billions... forever changing that island. 

And now we’re two and a half years later — and this is the question we’re asking today:

What the hell happened to Maui? Why is rebuilding still moving like it’s stuck in wet cement? Was land seized in a massive and grab? Were directed energy weapons used to dispace thousands of people. Was weather manipulated in order to create a perfect storm? Why does it feel like the people who lost everything are being pushed out permanently
