Rebecca Gitlitz is the two-time Emmy-winning director of Chris & Martina: The Final Set, the new Netflix documentary about Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. The film traces their legendary rivalry, eighty matches over sixteen years, sixty of them finals, fourteen of them Grand Slam finals — and the unlikely friendship that emerged decades later when both women were diagnosed with cancer. The documentary features never-before-seen footage, including cameras following Evert through her second round of ovarian cancer chemotherapy, and scenes of Chris and Martina watching their classic matches together for the first time on camera.
