From the moment they moved in, something about the house didn’t feel quite right. It wasn’t obvious at first—just a lingering sense that certain parts of the house felt different than others.

Especially her room.

Inside her closet was a second, smaller door that led into the attic. It stayed closed as much as possible, but even then, it didn’t feel like enough. Because every so often, she would hear something coming from that direction—something too deliberate to ignore, but easy enough to question.

For a while, she tried to explain it away. But then something happened that had nothing to do with sounds, walls, or the attic at all.

And that’s what made her wonder if whatever was in that house… wasn’t staying where it was supposed to.
