Episode Description

A tough loss but Tyrese Maxey, Andre Drummond and the Philadelphia 76ers (6-4) put up a good fight in a 111-108 loss to the visiting Detroit Pistons (8-2). The Sixers led by as much as 13 points midway through the third quarter, but saw that lead evaporate to a three-point deficit heading into the fourth. Maxey, who scored a game-high 33 with seven assists, kept battling until the end as he attempted a three-pointer to tie the game and force overtime, only to see it fall short at the buzzer. Drummond was strong in his start for a resting Joel Embiid, totaling 17 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 26 and 11 assists, while Jalen Duren added 21 and a game-best 16 boards in the win.
