Dr. Steve Mentz is department chair and professor of English at St John’s University. As well as Sailing Without Ahab, he is the author of several books, including At the Bottom of Shakespeare’s Ocean, An Introduction to the Blue Humanities, Break Up the Anthropocene, and Ocean.
