In this episode, host Sandy Lee Carlson interviews Iris Hida, a senior at Rockville High School who was recognized as an honorable mention honoree for her poem, Inscription: A Haibun, in the 2026 Lynn DeCaro Contest, presented by the Connecticut Poetry Society (CPS) and sponsored by the DeCaro Family.

Iris will attend Harvard University in the fall. She's looking forward to seeking out writing opportunities on campus.
