A U.S. Tomahawk cruise missile struck a girls' school in the Iranian city of Minab during strikes on an adjacent Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base. The attack killed at least 165-175 people, most of them children inside the school. The Pentagon has launched a formal investigation into the incident. President Trump was asked about the strike in multiple press interactions, where he suggested that Iran could be responsible and stated he did not know enough details while noting that the Pentagon is investigating. Iranian authorities have condemned the attack as a deliberate war crime carried out by the United States and Israel.
