OpenAI presentó GPT-6 Astra, su modelo más avanzado hasta ahora, enfocado en uso de computadoras, navegación web, programación, trabajo profesional y ciberseguridad. La compañía lo distribuirá primero a clientes del programa Daybreak y luego a usuarios de planes pagos y API. El lanzamiento es relevante porque Astra es el primer modelo de OpenAI en alcanzar el umbral “Critical” de capacidades de ciberseguridad, lo que le permite detectar y desarrollar exploits para fallas desconocidas bajo ciertas condiciones. Aunque OpenAI asegura que reforzó sus salvaguardas, el modelo genera preocupación por su menor monitorabilidad, por técnicas de razonamiento más opacas y por el contexto reciente del incidente con Hugging Face.
