After years of reflection in the Cave of Ḥirā’, the night over Makkah would never be the same again. Jibrīl (AS) descends with a command that would transform humanity forever: “Iqra” — Read.
The first revelation marks the beginning of Prophethood — a moment of awe, trembling, and divine destiny. As the Prophet ﷺ descends the mountain overwhelmed, Khadījah (RA) becomes the first to reassure and believe. Soon after, Waraqah ibn Nawfal confirms what the heavens have begun.
